COVER REVEAL: Lake + Manning by Jessica Hawkins

Picture

Manning and I have what happily-ever-after is made of . . .

A home he built us on the unshakeable foundation we fought for. A life of laughter carved out of heartache and betrayal. A love story to stand the test of time.

But between a trust that can’t be broken, joy that can’t be bridled, and passion that would scorch the sun, the empty spaces are becoming more and more difficult to ignore . . .

Fears that keep Manning up at night as he slips from our bed. Our complicated relationship with a man he respects and one I don't know how to forgive. And a sprawling, beautiful home with one small room I'm afraid I'll never be able to fill.

Manning and I have what happily-ever-after is made of . . .

But I'll beg the heavens for just one thing more.

Lake + Manning is book four in the Something in the Way series, a love saga.

COVER REVEAL: The Thing About Love by Kim Karr

Title: The Thing About Love
Author: Kim Karr
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Model: Forest Harrison
Release Date: January 3, 2018

Blurb

The whole stethoscope-and-white coat thing isn’t my cup of tea.

I prefer a man with an artistic vein in his body. 9 - 5 hours. And I can definitely do without the half-lidded, sleepy bedroom eyes. (Okay, so those are kind of sexy.)

Tall, dark, and handsome doesn’t change the fact that he’s arrogant, cocky, and rude.
Not that I care, but he’s made it clear he wants nothing to do with a quirky girl like me, which is why he said no.

Turns out no isn’t an option.

I have a quickie wedding to plan, and Dr. Jake Kissinger doesn’t have a choice. He looks at our situation like he’s stuck with me, but in reality I’m stuck with him. Stuck with his pouty mouth. His long, lean body. And stuck with those loose, low riding scrub pants. (Okay, so the doctor thing is growing on me.)

When spending time together turns into more than it should, I know I’m in trouble.
He isn’t supposed to make my heart pound.
I’m not supposed to make him look twice.
And we aren’t supposed to spend the night together. (Okay, so he has more than one artistic vein in his body, and other places.)

Falling for him is definitely a mistake.

Here’s the thing…
Jake is unavailable, and I know it.
Just not in the way you might think.

I guess you can’t have your cake and eat it too.

The British Knight by Louise Bay

Release Date: December 5th

Genre: Contemporary Romance

When I’m offered the chance to leave New York to live in London for three months, I can’t pack my suitcase fast enough.
As soon as I touch down I’m obsessing over red telephone boxes, palaces and all the black cabs.
But my favorite place is the tube. It’s wall-to-wall hot British men in suits.
When I’m offered a temporary job working for a barrister, I say, sign me up.
On my first commute into work, it’s a total accident when I lose my balance and fall against the most handsome Brit alive. He’s as charming as James Bond and as suave as Mr. Darcy. I want to lick tea from his hard abs and listen to his accent all night long.
Turns out Mr. Handsome is my new boss. And his attitude isn’t as hot as his gorgeous face, broad shoulders and tight ass. He’s brooding, short-tempered and the most arrogant man I’ve ever met.
As we’re fighting, out of nowhere he kisses me. And I’m pretty sure I see fireworks over Big Ben and hear God Save the Queen.
I wasn’t looking for the fairytale but I might have found my knight in shining armor. The problem is he lives an ocean away.

A stand-alone, contemporary romance.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

OMG! I'm in love with Violet and Alexander! I think I may have a new Louise Bay favourite!

"His voice was like creme brulee - silky smooth with a hint of gravel. Yum. I'd lick the bowl if I had a dishful of him."

Violet King lives in the moment. After a disastrous love affair, she flits from job to casual job, and she's nowhere near realising her full potential. When the opportunity to take a break from her current life presents itself, she's on the next plane to London, and on her way to a new temporary job.

"Women rarely caught my attention, but she was not only beautiful. There was something exotic about her, something that made me want to know more."

Alexander Knightley lives and breathes his work. He's a total workaholic with a singular purpose: to be the best at his job. His father's legacy is a shadow of expectation that hangs over him, which is both a curse and something to be proud of. When Violet blows into his life, her beauty and vibrancy has him distracted and questioning what he really wants out of life.

"I wanted to please him. I wanted him to want me. I wanted him to fantasize about his hand up my skirt, f*cking me over his desk."

This novel was so romantic and sexy! Violet and Alexander are complete opposites in so many ways, but so alike in others. I felt such a thrill of excitement from the first moment they met. The tension between them was tangible.

"The girl was dissolving my focus, my control, my defenses."

I loved Violet's breezy, gutsy ways. She's utterly charming and has a heart of gold. Alexander's reputation precedes him as tough, taciturn, and difficult. I loved his dirty thoughts about Violet and how she affects him from their first meeting - the way she has him acting out of character. He demonstrated very clearly how much space she occupied in his mind. In turn, I enjoyed how Alexander also changes Violet and her view of the world, and makes her see herself in a new light.

This was such a FABULOUS book. I completely ADORED it!! Thoroughly, thoroughly recommend it.

Excerpt:

Alexander

My workout this morning had been punishing. The harder I worked, the harder I worked out. I was a big believer in that if I wasn’t physically fit, I couldn’t perform as well in my job. And I was willing to do whatever I had to do to be the best barrister I could be. As a result, I’d been up since five, worked out until six thirty, and then had a conference call with Dubai at seven. I hated days when I was late into the office, but this morning couldn’t be helped. My commute had been . . . unusual. The woman I’d knocked into while getting off the tube had been beautiful, and I couldn’t keep the image of her gazing up at me in the middle of Lincoln’s Inn Fields out of my brain. I needed to focus. And perhaps get laid when I got the time. But it wouldn’t be tonight. I’d be working. I had hundreds of witness statements to go through and my opening statement to draft. In three days, I’d be in court, and that was my sole focus. There was no time to be wasted on fantasizing about women. As I trawled through my emails, trying to pick out the important ones from the hundreds littering my inbox, someone knocked at my door. I resisted the temptation to growl. I hated being interrupted—I needed a sign for the door. “Come in,” I barked. The door swung open, and I could tell by the footsteps that the head clerk had swooped in. “Mr. Knightley.” “Craig.” I didn’t take my focus off my laptop screen. Craig was an avuncular and charming man in his mid-fifties. He’d been in the business since he was fifteen and had clerked my father. If anyone could interrupt me, he could. And he knew it. Over the years, I’d tried to get him to call me Alex, but he insisted all the clerks and admin staff call the barristers by their surnames. The bar could be a very old-fashioned place. “I want to introduce you to your new assistant, Violet King.” I paused, my fingers hovering over my keyboard. I knew nothing of this and would never have agreed to it—I worked alone. Slowly, I turned to find Craig in front of my desk, his eyebrows raised in expectation. “My what?” I asked. A figure moved in beside him and I slid my gaze to the right. I found myself staring straight at the beautiful woman who’d invaded my thoughts since I’d arrived in chambers. What was going on? I looked away from her, sure that Craig would see my attraction to her if my eyes lingered over her for more than a split second.

Lexi ...

I left home a proud, strong woman, determined and eager to support my country. But I came back a completely different person.

I'm wounded, scarred, and nothing more than an empty shell. I've lost my ability to open up to those closest to me. Why? Because no one understands. No one knows the hell I've been through.

Every time I close my eyes the nightmares are there, waiting, lurking in the shadows, ready to torment me further. My only escape is the sting of alcohol, the burn that numbs my pain. Everyone sees it as a weakness, calls it a coping mechanism. I call it survival.

I'm a lost cause ... until I meet him - a Boston cop with demons of his own, who knows what it's like to be haunted by his past. He understands my pain, knows all about the nightmares, and makes me feel less ... alone.

But we are both broken, tainted by our pasts. How can we heal each other when we're both shattered souls?

Her following books Needing Your Love (November 2015), Found My Love (December 2015), and Fighting for Love (January 2016) were also published with Siren to finish the Learning to Love Series.

Her desire to see her books on shelves led to her next work Chasing Dreams (April 2015) she submitted it for publication with Limitless Publishing and was thrilled that it was quickly accepted. Excited to reach that goal, she moved on to the next series she had in mind and wrote Saved By a Soldier (June 2016), My Broken Soldier (July 2016), Forever My Soldier (August 2016), and A Soldier for Bella (September 2016).

Alison enjoyed reading as a child and found her passion for it again in 2011 when E.L. James' Fifty Shades of Grey was released. Her love of reading was re-ignited and she continued reading other books in the same genre. In the summer of 2015, she decided to give writing a try and two weeks later Finding Love was born. As soon as she finished the first book, she began writing the second book in the series. Her third book was finished by the time Finding Love had been accepted for publication. Alison discovered she has a passion for writing and has spent the last year meeting new readers and sharing the love she has for writing.

Married to her own real life hero, Alison lives with her amazing family in Massachusetts where she was born and raised. She loves having her own personal inspiration right at home and when she's not writing she enjoys playing soccer, basketball, and football with her son.

COVER REVEAL: Freezing by Tarrah Anders

Freezing

by Tarrah Anders Publication Date: January 3, 2018 Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Keeping someone’s secret tore my life apart. I’ve paid retribution and now I’ve got to get my life back in order. I’ve made enough mistakes and now I need to spill my secrets to make those I’ve wronged understand why I did what I did. Upon my release from prison, I made a set of goals—none of them included a raven-haired beauty who spoke her mind. I didn’t intend to have someone in my life romantically, but fate brought us together and I couldn’t ignore the attraction any longer. What I didn’t know was that she would teach me that one of my goals could have a different meaning. Now, my life is opposite of how it used to be; I’m no longer than man who gambles, drinks and sleeps around. With the strength of her by my side, I can do anything.

About Tarrah Anders

Meet Tarrah. She’s a contemporary romancer who is all about the feels, with the twists of sexy mixed in between. She’s been writing since before she can remember. Writing was always a passion, that was kept it under wraps, stayed on the backburner and never vocalized or followed through with my desire to be a writer, until she read a horrible book and thought: ‘I could do better than that!’ She kept her writing romance from her husband for nearly two years, but finally told him because… royalties and taxes. Now, he lovingly helps with ‘research’ and uses him for his amazing Photoshop skills for her covers. She is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but living in beautiful San Diego with her own little family while working during the day as a social worker working with the homeless. She is a hardcore San Francisco Giants fan and anything dealing with cupcakes and Zombies. Her writing style is that she tries to keep on earth. She tries her best to not be too unrealistic with her characters, what they do and how they live. She wants her books to be relatable and not to create too many eye rolls, when a character starts calling his love interest baby after knowing her for 5 minutes. She has written and self-published 4 books and one novella. They’re all dual point of view aside from the novella. She is currently working on several pieces but focusing on two mainly. Thematically, the novels are friends to lovers, random hook-ups and office romances mixed with a whole lot of fun in the middle.
