Saoirse Kelly doesn't believe in marriage. Luca Rossi wants a marriage like that of his parents, but since taking over as CEO of the family, he's being forced to shed his playboy image by taking a wife to garner confidence in him. One unforgettable encounter, a little white lie, and a paparazzi snapshot later has Luca suggesting a marriage of convenience with Saoirse. However, as soon becomes apparent, there's nothing convenient about their marriage.

"My claim on Saoirse might have been temporary, but it was powerful. She was mine, and I was so f*cking hers, I couldn't see straight."

This story was an addictive read! I loved Saoirse's zest for life and her bubbly, positive outlook, in spite of her upbringing. Luca blew hot and cold as he struggled with his overriding attraction to his inconvenient wife. Their passionate chemistry was off the scale and their emotional connection gripped me, as they both fought their feelings and failed spectacularly. Luca's belief and defence of Saoirse melted my heart. I adored how he made her feel beautiful, desired and understood. Loved this story and can't wait to read the next one in the series.

3.5 stars - I really loved this author's Meade Lake series, so I was hoping for something similar in this small-town romance.

"We have a heavy history. I don't want to become part of that heavy history. I want to be part of her future."

Overall, I thought it was a good read. I enjoyed the close-knit family background of the Calways, and the way they all rallied around each other. There was so much heat between Lola Calway and Levi Buck, even if it felt like they went from zero to sixty after four years of not seeing each other. I loved the way Levi made Lola feel sexy, beautiful and desired. I didn't love the 'Daddy' thing though...I loved the way Levi adored little Harper and the way he wanted to protect them both.

"I'm gonna make you mine, Lola Calway. And you're gonna stay that way."

While this story was about Lola and Levi's lifelong connection turning into a forever love, I felt it lacked a little something. The thing in Lola's past was dealt with very easily, all things considered. However, I enjoyed how easily the Calways accepted Levi as Lola's guy. He'd always been part of their family, now he was part of it in a different way. This was an easy, sexy read, but the Meade Lake books are still my favourites.

Chase Donner and Hannah Gallagher were a match made in heaven. The two of them absolutely completed each other and melted my heart. They were sweet, amusing, and so darn romantic! They were both somewhat haunted by their pasts, but the trust that built quickly between them had them leaning on each for strength, support and understanding. Chase made me swoon with his sensitivity, and Hannah was so lovely and adorable. It was wonderful to see the found-family gang again, and gladdened my heart so much to see them rallying around the lovebirds. I also loved the little side story about Hannah's mother and Dom. Gah! Loved this story so much.
