Matthew VanRyan is something of a workaholic ER doctor. He loves his work but also tries to make as much time as he can for his close family. It's been a while since he was in a relationship, so when he meets Madison Tate, nursing student and baker, he's surprised by how much she piques his interest. What starts out as a chance meeting turns into a sweet, evolving connection between them. However, when life throughs obstacles in their path, can their fledgling romance sustain itself into something lasting?

Matthew and Maddy's story was beautiful! I fell in love with this novel right from the start. Familiar faces, new faces, and a found family that's so invested in each other's happiness gave me such a feel-good high! I laughed when they laughed, I cried when they cried, and I read long into the night. Both Matthew and Maddy were loving, giving people. I loved how they supported each other, even when it was heartbreakingly difficult, and their HEA was glorious! This story had me all up in my feels! Gorgeous read!
