I loved this story! I wasn't expecting the surprising turn in Gabby and Ryker's story but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

"She hates me for something that happened years ago, and it p*sses me off because I didn't realize how much I'd hurt her."

Gabby Taylor and Ryker Stanley were once best friends, until Gabby stopped speaking to him. Two years of silence between them is suddenly explained as Gabby plucks up the courage to tell Ryker why she stopped speaking to him. Gabby is a talented snowboarder on track for the Olympics. Ryker is a talented footballer about to go to college. However, Gabby's confession throws a spanner into their plans and they begin a new version of their old friendship long-distance. But when life throws them a curveball, their loyalty, love and trust is tested to the limits.

"I'd been a fool. Gabriella Taylor had always been mine, I just hadn't known it, and she hadn't figured it out yet."

This was a lot of story squeezed into one book but I really enjoyed it nonetheless. Ryker has a chip on his shoulder but he has his reasons. He's a hothead but his loyalty to those he loves really got me. He and his half-brother, Ashton, have a real bromance going on. I loved how much they had each other's backs. Ryker and Gabby together were electric. They had a solid connection from when they were younger but the older versions of themselves had chemistry for days. I loved how hard Ryker worked to give themselves a fighting chance of a future and how much they both supported each other with their dreams. The tenderness Ryker exhibited was such a contrast to his usual brash nature that my heart melted! They had old heads on young shoulders. Both had a lot of pressure to handle and were pretty mature about how they went about it. Overall, I loved the story and maybe we could have had a few more chapters to extend some of the rushed parts, but adored the ending.

Gosh - what a fabulous read! Absolutely loved it!

When Derrick Thomas walks into Kaylee Jennings' life, he shows her a photo that blows her life apart, and has her following him to the small town of Meade Lake to uncover a hitherto unknown mystery in her past. What she finds has her questioning everything about her present life and her family. She also finds the potential of a different future from the one mapped out for her, as well as new friendships and unexpected love.

"I promise you that if I ever did touch you, it wouldn't be a one and done. If I touched you, you'd feel everything you deserve to feel, over and over again."

This story was SOOOO GOOD! It was so well-written and completely absorbed me. I love the town of Meade Lake - the author paints it as idyllic and close-knit. Derrick is a hero to die for! He's beautiful inside and out, so caring, so thoughtful, and protective. I adored him! Kaylee was such a good person. Her upbringing didn't spoil the person she was inside - she had her own set of values and ideals and I loved that about her. She and Derrick was so well-matched. They had chemistry for days, great banter, and just clicked from the first moment they met. Their romantic connection was so gorgeous! I also loved all the side characters and can't wait for the next book in this series. Thoroughly recommend it!

This was such a lovely read. It was a sweet and sexy story about two people who, on paper appear to have very little in common, but in actual fact have all their priorities aligned with each other.

"Somehow, she has managed to work her way under my skin, and I'm not sure I want to let her go."

When Drew Jacobs walked into his chemistry class, he picked the most studious person to sit next to, as he can't afford any distractions from his future goals. However, he soon realises his mistake when Abby Angelos turns out to be not just beautiful on the outside, but also inside. She gets so far under his skin that he finds himself breaking his own rules to have her in his life.

"She. Is. Everything. Everything I've ever hoped for. Everything I've dreamed of, and everything I never knew I wanted."

Abby has ambitions and can't afford to get distracted. When she first meets Drew, she has no idea who he is or why he's so popular, but she totally misjudges him. However, as she gets to know the real Drew beneath his jock persona, she finds herself totally attracted to him - but she's scared to become invested in him when they'll likely go their separate ways after graduation.

I adored Drew and Abby as we followed their story from lab partners to friends to more, as they experience true first love along with all the doubts, vulnerabilities and hopes that two focused, driven and ambitious young people can have when their futures are stretched out in front of them. I loved the spark and passion between them. I loved the support they showed each other and how they found comfort in the other. This was a fairly low angst story with two characters who were like real-life people to me. A really enjoyable read.

Fantastic read!

"He makes me feel like...like some part of me is falling open, and I can't even help it. It's a heavy secret feeling - an unfurling."

The first time Luca Galante and Elise O'Hara talk, it's in the most unexpected way and pretty much incognito. However, they'd noticed each other way before then and only connect the dots after Luca comes to Elise's rescue at school. They're from opposite ends of the social spectrum but there's a real connection between them, and their lives are far more entwined than either realise.

I thoroughly enjoyed the beginning of Luca and Elise's story. They were sweet, passionate and pretty innocent together, but the burdens they bore, especially Luca, were pure adult. I enjoyed all the background mystery that needs to be unravelled in the concluding part, and I'm so excited for the rest of their story! I adored their devotion to each other and their tumble into a fierce love, and my heart broke at the avalanche of tragedy that struck them both and left the reader on a cliffhanger. Seriously can't wait for the second book, presumably they will be all grown up if the blurb is anything to go by, so I'm really looking forward to some fireworks!

This was a gorgeous, slow-burn romance.

When failing author Amalie Warner meets failed tennis player Julian Smoke, he’s arrogant, drunk and somewhat offensive. However, he sparks Amalie’s creative spark and she takes him home with her, to sleep off the alcohol, before offering him a win-win proposition. She needs another bestseller to avoid working for her controlling father, and he needs to win the US Open to realise his dream of a lifetime. Unfortunately, the road to success is not smooth, as they try and put aside their animosity to make their partnership work and contend with Amalie’s dad.

“My mind won’t stop racing, and I wanted it to be with you because sometimes that’s the only time it quiets.”

This was such an enjoyable read as Julian and Amalie find an even footing with each other and deal with their mutual attraction. I enjoyed watching them start to care for each other – their well-being, their desires, and their personal demons. I loved Julian’s protectiveness and the way he bolstered Amalie’s confidence, in much the same way that she bolstered his. Watching them fall in love was tense and joyful. Their banter was amusing and fun, and their passion was pretty hot! It was fun watching Julian and Amalie on their personal journeys to achieving their goals.

“She was so free, so different from the uptight girl he first met. This version of her was dangerous in the best possible way.”

This story had a lot of heart and heat, and I’m really looking forward to reading more from this author.
