Darling Arrow,
I shouldn’t be writing this.
It’s not as if I’m ever going to send you this letter, and there are a million reasons why.
First of all, I was sent to this reform school as a punishment for a petty, totally inconsequential crime. Not to ogle the principal’s hot son around the campus.
Second of all, you’re a giant jerk. You’re arrogant and moody and so cold. Sometimes I think I shouldn’t even like you.
But strangely your coldness sets me on fire.
The way your athletic body moves on the soccer field, and the way your powerful thighs sprawl across that motorcycle of yours, make me go inappropriately breathless.
But that’s not the worst part.
The worst part is that you, Arrow Carlisle, are not only the principal’s hot son.
You also happen to be the love of my sister’s life.
And I really shouldn’t be thinking about my sister’s boyfriend, or rather fiancé (I overheard a conversation about the ring that I shouldn’t have).
Now if I can only stop writing you these meaningless letters that I’ll never send and you’ll never read…
Never yours,
Salem

NOTE: This book is a standalone and DOES NOT contain cheating.

Caroline's Review

🌟🌟🌟🌟1/2

4.5 stars - this was a raw and addictive read!

"All I ever wanted is to be myself, however flawed and imperfect that may be."

Salem Salinger, with her witchy name, her witchy eyes and her witchy heart, has been in love with Arrow Carlisle since she was 10 and he was 15. However, from the moment he looked at her older sister, he never looked away. They were the perfect couple - beautiful, ambitious, talented and polished. The complete opposite of Salem, the rulebreaker, who just orbited around them and stayed as out of sight as possible. The only way she speaks to Arrow is through her countless letters...that he'll never read.

"For some strange reason, we keep rubbing each other the wrong way. We keep creating sparks and friction. We keep creating fire."

Eight years later and Arrow is suddenly very much in her life. But he is a changed man. No longer laid back and calm, he is angry, bitter, and rude. The new Arrow excites her more than ever. And, now, he's finally really seeing Salem.

"If you got any more perfect for me than you already are, I'd f*cking lose my mind."

This book was a fairly pacy read. It was visceral, super hot and thrilling! Salem is a pretty angsty young woman with so much emotion and love bottled up inside her. She's brave, daring, and unselfconscious. Arrow - oh my god, Arrow! He's like a pressure cooker ready to explode any minute. He was so full of anger and bitterness, yet in spite of his alpha demeanour, there was also tenderness lurking beneath the hard façade. I was addicted to his POV chapters to find out how Salem affected him. His possessiveness of her owned me! She healed him, she made his heart beat again, and she made him question everything he thought true about himself. I absolutely adored this story and the only reason that it's not 5 stars is because I sometimes thought their dialogue was a little bit pedantic. However, the story was nonetheless exciting and fabulous!
