Catherine AKA Cat Day AKA Officer Ice Queen is 37, elegant, and tough. Ever since she lost her fiance, a fellow cop, in the line of duty, she's steered clear of relationships with fellow cops. In fact, she's pretty much closed off her heart to love. However, when she sets eyes on rookie, Jace Sutton, his sheer, hot presence is enough to thaw her icy demeanour. There is absolutely no denying the electric connection between them.

Jace Sutton is 24, ex-forces and has seen plenty worse in his former career. He recognises the haunted look in Cat's eyes. He also recognises the chemistry between them and has no issue about the age between them. However, can he get Cat to overcome her hang-ups and fears to give them a fair chance at something real and long-lasting.
"I look at you and I think you might be capable of breaking my heart."
Oh my god! This story was pacy and filthy almost from the beginning. I thrilled at the scorching sexual connection between Cat and Jace. He was so damn HAWT! He's big, powerful, and one hell of an alpha. On the one hand, I loved how he took command of Cat and made such a strong woman like her submit to him. I loved that he recognised her need to be dominated. On the other hand, I swooned at his tenderness and his softer feelings for her. His need to care for her and look after her. Yes, this book had all the sexy scenes but there was also some heart-clenching going on! For someone so young, he was wise beyond his years and I was rooting for him to win Cat over, all the way!
