RELEASE BLITZ, REVIEW & GIVEAWAY: Come Again by Jiffy Kate

TITLE: Come Again
AUTHOR: Jiffy Kate
GENRE: Contemporary Romance
RELEASE DATE: November 30, 2018

RELEASE PRICE: $0.99

SYNOPSIS:

WOMEN HAVEN'T BEEN HIRED TO WORK IN MY BAR FOR A REASON: they’re too tempting and too distracting—too much of a liability—even if they are good for business…

That’s why I shocked myself by hiring Avery Cole. She’s young, carefree, and happy—a beautiful distraction. When she’s around, the devastation of my past gets buried under layers of lust and desire… hints of a life I once lived but have completely given up on.

I’ve already had my love and now that’s gone; there’s no need to try again. Even if love is staring me right in the face with a pair of deep brown eyes and no expectations.

WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT SHAW O'SULLIVAN?

He’s rude, abrasive, sexy—and my boss. He’s also broken in ways I would never have seen if I hadn’t been looking.

Which means he should be off limits; my heart and body cannot handle his baggage. I’m on a quest to find myself, and Shaw O’Sullivan will only get in my way and drag me down.

Where I’m light, he's dark. We don't mix and neither of us are looking for love, so what happens when it finds us anyway?

Danielle's Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Come Again? Yes, please. I’d come again and again and again for Shaw O’Sullivan.

He’s a broody, surly asshole according to Avery Cole, the new girl in town, who ran from a not-so-desirable situation looking for a fresh start. But, that doesn’t stop her from pretty much forcing her way into his life.

My heart broke for Shaw. I cried actual tears. Okay, maybe not cried but my eyes definitely watered a good bit. The poor baby, he’s broken, just barely scraping by in this world. So when the feisty, younger woman comes barging into his bar demanding a job, to say he’s shocked is an understatement. But she won’t last. He’ll run her off in no time.

The slow burning love ignited my soul. Set it ablaze. I wanted to take the 45-minute drive downtown to find Come Again and hold him. LOL

I can’t tell y’all how much I really, really loved this story. The writing, phenomenal. The characters, dynamic.

Bravo Jiff & Jenny!

STEALING IT: A Navy SEAL and Single Mom Romance

We train for war and fight to win.

Mental toughness is a steadfast requirement to become a SEAL. Like his teammates, Aidan Mixx is ferocious in this quality. No one knows he uses one night stands, dating app hook-ups, and a swaggering, lewd, persona to cover his haunting weakness. Orders to the Bronze Bay, Florida, SEAL base is a change of scenery and pace. Slowing down just enough to realize not only is sleeping around in a small town more difficult when everyone knows each other, but he might be ready to settle down with one woman.

If she’s up for the challenge.

Magnolia Sager lost the only man she has ever loved to his barely-legal secretary. To make matters worse, their teenaged daughter was the one to catch her father in the affair. Mentally battered and bruised, they flee to Bronze Bay for a fresh start. The antique store keeps Magnolia busy, and the very last thing on her mind is love. She is hesitant when her best friend suggests healing old wounds and moving on by using an app to date casually. Meeting a man who makes her weak in the knees is surprising. Wanting to continue dating him is shocking.

Falling for him is insanity. Loving him, impossible.

What would you sacrifice for something you wanted? Something that was dear to you? A little? Just enough? Or everything? Would you burn it all down to the ground and steal that which you covet most?

Caroline's Review

⭐⭐⭐⭐

"I may be into casual dating, but if I ever find a woman I want to keep forever, that's a game changer."

Aidan Mixx is a player in a small town. He doesn't do relationships. Ever. Damaged beyond repair by a traumatic upbringing, he has no interest in letting anyone get too close. Until he meets Magnolia. She's not just beautiful, but also a refreshing change.

"It's a risk to give anything except my body to Aidan Mixx, and yet I feel it happening, felt it happening all night long."

Magnolia had her heart broken once before, and she's not prepared to put it on the line again for just anybody - especially not a somelike like Aidan who uses dating apps to find hook-ups. The most important person in her life is her teenage daughter.

"Having your hand on my heart feels right. The only thing that's felt this right in my entire life."

This was a great story. It was sexy, romantic and a little bit heartbreaking. Aidan and Magnolia really connect, and I loved how Aidan was man enough to face up to his growing feelings for her and willing to explore the uncharted territory of relationships. I hurt really badly for him when Magnolia refused to see the truth of things, but it's obvious where her priorities lay.

I absolutely loved the ending - it was so gorgeous and romantic. Perfect finish!

RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: Eggnog Makes Her Easy by Erin Nicholas

EMHE-RB Banner.jpg

Eggnog Makes Her Easy, an all-new Boys of the Big Easy holiday novella from New York Times bestselling author Erin Nicholas is available now!

EggnogMakesHerEasy300.jpg

Lindsey is expecting silent nights this holiday. Just her and her boys while her husband serves overseas. But her blue Christmas turns merry when things start rockin’ under the mistletoe thanks to a surprise gift from her naughty Santa.
Which is fine. The nice list is overrated anyway.

Caroline's Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was such a sweet, uplifting story.

Lindsey is a soldier's wife. She pretty much lives life as a single mother whilst her husband is deployed on the other side of the world. With Christmas approaching and Matt being away at some secret location, she enjoys the festivities with her special group of friends, where a mysterious Santa makes a very special appearance.

"I couldn't do what I do without you. I wouldn't want to. You make it matter and you make everything better."

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Lindsey and Matt have such a lovely backstory - I loved how significant Christmas was to them. I loved the solidity of their marriage, and the love and desire that burns ever bright between them - possibly due to the long months of separation. However, even though they aren't often together, they are very much a team. This story portrayed Matt's dedication to his career, as well as his family, but he was clear that Lindsey was the backbone of their family life. Such a gorgeous story about love, marriage, friendship and support.

Bearded Lumberjack in Hat holding a big Axe on Shoulder

Review

Claire's Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I am pretty sure that Amy is the only author that could write a book about a bait shop and pull it off! Next in Line is the continuation of Wait with Me series, although it can easily be read as a standalone. This is Sam's story who we me in the first book Wait with Me.

I loved this story! Sam was a character in Wait with Me that you just wanted to see more of and Amy gave us that chance to get to know him a bit more.
Maggie I found a hard character to warm to at the beginning, and I found plenty of times wanting to give her a slap for not seeing what was right in front of her. She seemed very immature with all the lying also, but then she is young.

Overall, its another great story from a great author! I love Amy's work and now will be on countdown for the next one :)

  excerpt

“Maggie,” I state, my voice deep in warning. “Stop worrying about Sterling and live in this moment. We are in the middle of a hot spring, surrounded by rocks and mountains and snow and nature and…life. Your ex should be the last thing on your mind. You should be taking this all in.” “I am taking it all in,” she snaps back defensively. “But are you? Are you really?” I stare deep into her eyes, not in judgment but in understanding. “I know you have a plan, but sometimes plans need to be forgotten so you don’t miss out on life.” “Life? Like right now? With you?” she says the words slowly like each one is a sweet she’s tasting for the first time. “Hell, maybe,” I reply, my voice growing deeper from the darkened look in her eye. “You seem busy living for a fictional future. Maybe it’s time to stop turning the pages for a bit.” The corners of her lips twitch as she watches me for a breath. Her tongue darts out to wet her lips as she pulls her bottom one in with her teeth. She turns around to prop her arms on the rocks, her eyes taking in the scenery all around us. She exhales heavily and then turns to sit on her knees in front of me. My eyes take in that luscious body of hers, curvy in all the right places and smooth like velvet. Leaning in until her face is only inches from mine, she says, “Kiss me, Sam.” “What?” I ask with a laugh and pull away from her, assuming this must be her idea of a joke. She bites her lip and narrows her eyes with determination. “Kiss me.” “What are you doing?” I shift nervously in the water to put more space between us. I swear to God, the temperature of the water has just risen ten degrees. Lifting her shoulders, she replies, “I’m living life in the moment.” “But you want your ex back.” A fact she shouldn’t need to be reminded of. “I do…someday.” Her eyes wander down to my chest. “But he’s not here tonight. And you’re a short-term kind of guy, and I’m a temporarily single girl. So why don’t we live in the moment right now…together?” “You don’t want this,” I reply with a shake of the head, gulping down the contents of my glass in one swig. I set it down and hoist myself up on the edge of the rocks, needing some cool air to clear my head. “I think I do,” she replies, lifting her brows at me. “I know I do. I’ve wanted it since the day we met.” “Bullshit.” “It’s true. Why do you think I threw myself at you in your fishing hut, Sam?” My body roars to life at that memory, of her body close to mine, of feeling her in my arms and tasting her perfect lips. Maggie could kiss. Even in her haste, she knew how to kiss. Maggie moves closer to me like a tentative cub tracking its first prey. She kneels between my legs, and I tense when she runs her hands up the outside of my calves. “You’re a good guy, Sam. You may not be a long-term kind of guy, but that’s not what I’m looking for from you anyway.” Her hands roll over my quads, shooting a zinger right up my groin to my cock. I reach down and grip her hands harshly to stop their movement. “What are you looking for exactly, Maggie? Be very fucking specific.” Her long black lashes are wet from the steam as she looks up at me and quirks her brow as she replies. “I’m asking for no-strings fucking.” “Jesus Christ,” I growl and have to force myself to look away from her. She looks way too fucking hot right now in that little black bikini, her breasts pressing together from the position of her hands on my thighs, and her blue eyes wide and innocent. My dick develops its own heartbeat as it presses into my board shorts. How did this evening turn into Maggie seducing me? I’m fucking nine years older than her, for God’s sake. I should be the one seducing her. But all of a sudden, she’s the alluring bait dangling right in front of me, and I’m a fish who hasn’t eaten in weeks. I look at her with pleading eyes. “Your brother will kill me.” She smiles a sexy smile, that dimple in her cheek ever present. “Miles doesn’t need to know about my sex life.”

Knightly

If practice makes perfect, I should excel at pretending that Heath Miller doesn’t affect me. That I’m immune to that wide jaw, taut body, and the unique woodsy-aftershave-engine-oil scent that makes my ovaries explode.
Since before I could walk, he’s been my champion. My best friend. The one problem I can’t solve. Why? If I tell him I love him, I’ll lose him and his adorable daughter. Maybe the best Christmas gift I can give him—and myself—is to turn in the keys to my B&B and put some distance between us.

Heath

I’ve made my share of mistakes. Lost my MIT scholarship, came home to fix cars and romance Kentbury’s female tourists—until I wound up a single father. For all eight years of Cassie’s life, Knightly’s been my anchor.
I’ve changed. Cassie’s the best part of me, and Knightly’s been there every step of the way. But as Christmas lays its mantle of magic over Kentbury, she drops a bomb—she’s following a dream to New York City. I’ve got one week to do everything, say everything I’ve never dared. To convince my best friend to be mine—ours—for all the holidays to come.

Prologue

Heath

I hate surprises almost as much as I hate Sunday brunch at my parents. My family and I don’t get along. It’s a cliché, but we’re like water and oil. I became everything they hate and I hate everything they represent. My parents are judgmental. During my late teens and up until a few months ago, I fucked around—a lot—in every sense. Needless to say, I lost my scholarship to MIT during my sophomore year. The dean called me irresponsible. My parents wrote me off as a failure until I came back to Kentbury to take over my uncle’s car repair shop after he died. I try to keep myself out of trouble and off the town’s radar. I steer away from the women in town. But I do have fun with the tourists who stay at the lodge. It’s simple. They’re here for a week or a weekend. Then they’re gone for good. “But I ran out of luck,” I sigh and look down. In the bouncy chair lies Cassie, my one-month-old baby. The fuss of black hair is covered by a pink hat. Her arms aloft as if dreaming of cuddling her mother. I slide my pinky into her open hand and watch as her fingers curl around it. I feel her soft breath on the back of my hand. Already the tension is melting away as I watch my sweet little girl sleep in peace. She’s so innocent, she doesn’t know that our lives have been forever changed. “Maybe I just got lucky,” I whisper close to her ear. “You and I are going to make it work. I’ll make you proud little one.” There’s a slight knock on the door. I kiss her tiny hand before I open it for Knightly. “That must be, Knightly, coming to save the day,” I whisper to Cassie and kiss her tiny hand. There’s so much I could tell her about my best friend, but not enough time. I only tell Cassie what’s important, “She’s going to become your favorite person. We call her Lee for short.” When I swing the door open, I finally relax. Lee’s here. Her big brown eyes narrow locking her gaze at me. “I need a big explanation,” she says handing me the shopping bags she carries with her. “Hello, Lee,” I greet her and stare at all the bags she brought as she unzips her blue parka. “I got everything that you asked for,” she says. Bishop is bringing the big items. What do you need that for?” Her voice is neutral, but I know her well. She’s easy to read. The expression on her face matches her mood. I know when she’s excited about something. I can tell when she’s tired or cranky. Or, like right now, when she’s upset that I’m keeping her in the dark. As she takes off all her winter gear and sets her snow boots on the plastic tray, I close the door avoiding the sight of her body. I like to think of Lee Harris as my best friend. One of the boys. She’s the kid who I hung out with since she could walk. I endless practice not noticing her sweet curves or the way her long, dark, curly hair cascades over her shoulders once she takes off her hat. I’m a shitty person and can’t do relationships. I’d never do anything to jeopardize my relationship with Lee. Ever. I tilt my head toward the living room. “Follow me.” “Oh my God, did Santa bring me a baby?” She claps once and takes out the tube of hand sanitizer that she always carries around. Without asking, she snaps the belt of the bouncy chair open and takes her into her arms. “Hey, beautiful, welcome to Kentbury. You’re going to love this place.” Cassie snuggles closer to Lee who looks beautiful holding my baby. I swallow hard and remind myself that she’s a friend who deserves a lot more than a guy who sucks at life. “You’re not going to ask anything?” “The mom came to the lodge earlier, asking for you.” She sweeps my body with her gaze. “Tall, dark hair, light blue eyes and was friends with the Lodge’s owner.” Lee rolls her eyes and sighs. “You and Kingston need to stop sleeping around or…” Lee touches her mouth lightly with the tips of her fingers. “Oops, it happened.” “You could’ve warned me.” I grit my teeth. “I could’ve.” She shrugs. “Maybe next time.” I glare at her. She’s not funny but I don’t have the energy to deal with her banter. Though, maybe she doesn’t have much energy either because she’s not as witty as usual. “How are you handling the news?” She asks with a serious tone, though her gaze remains on Cassie. “I’m dealing, I guess,” I close my eyes briefly taking a deep breath. “Can you picture me as a father?” I gesture to myself, showing her the hot mess that I am. Then, point to the apartment I live in which is above the car shop. “I’m a fucked-up guy who can’t finish anything. I can’t even get along with my parents. What am I supposed to do with a baby?” “Love her,” she answers. “You should give yourself some credit, Heath. She has the best dad in the world, and you two have me and my family.” I smile at her and say the obvious, “I can always count on you.” Lee studies Cassie. She smiles at her, but her face looks a little saddened. Her brown eyes are slightly red and watery. Was she crying? I’m sure it’s nothing. Later, when I’m not busy with my baby I’ll ask her what’s wrong. In the meantime, I have to learn how to be a dad. Maybe I can find a book on how to be a father online. It worked with the car shop, and so far, I’ve managed it well enough.
