Release Date: December 28, 2018

Blurb

There’s a thin line between love and hate . . . and it cuts right through the middle of their office.

Bad boys? They run right over good girls like Georgina Keller.

But after a confidence-shattering breakup, she’s determined not to let anyone at her new workplace push her around—least of all the brooding creative director, a “bad boy of publishing” who’s made it clear she’s enemy #1.

Sebastian Quinn's taste for fast cars, late nights, and beautiful women may have gotten him to the top of a leading New York magazine, but the reputation that made him is suddenly threatening to end his career.

Georgina can help Modern Man shed its bad reputation, but in order to do that, she’ll have to start at the top—and no amount of rakish charm or inconvenient attraction will distract her.

Because if Sebastian gets her right where he wants her, it means she’s going down.

5 Stuff-of-dreams stars!

What an amazing, sexy and heartfelt read!

"She was small but mighty, ambitious but not malicious, and feisty with a streak of sweet."

Troubleshooter, Georgina Keller, is fully armed and prepared for her first day joining the male-dominated creative team at lifestyle magazine, Modern Man. What she's not prepared for is Sebastian Quinn's panty-dropping good looks and resentful hostility. Renowned for his bad boy ways and sexist bias, she's unprepared for her attraction to him and she has to dig deep to put aside her natural doormat tendencies to be the strong, professional business woman that she is. However, the more she gets to know him, the more she realises that there's more to him than meets the eye.

"Was Sebastian more than the image he projected, or was he an actual bad boy to handle with caution?"

Modern Man is Sebastian's life's work. He IS Modern Man. Knowing his job is possibly on the line, he begrudgingly works alongside Georgina. Unfortunately, his pesky attraction to her is something else entirely, and he finds himself becoming totally beguiled by her and her kind, sweet ways. And, don't even get him started on her endless physical attributes.

"You have all these little f*cking freckles...It's like someone sprinkled you with cinnamon to serve you up as breakfast."

Absolutely loved this story! The chemistry between Sebastian and Georgina was electric and tense. Sebastian was just so hungry for her! His can't help but be fascinated by the dichotomy that is Georgina Keller. On one hand, she's meek and sweet, and on the other, she's something of a ballbuster. Sebastian, himself, is not quite what he portrays, and I loved watching Georgina unravelling him and his vulnerabilities.

Fabulous, hot, and heartfelt! Another winner from this author.

Excerpt

At the stadium’s concession stand, I took a tall stool, putting Georgina and I at eye level since she stood. “So, why didn’t you kiss François?” I asked. “Bad breath?”
She gasped into her hand. “My breath is fine.”
“I meant his. I’m sure yours is pure relish on a hotdog.”
She made a face. “Gross.”
“I happen to love relish,” I said. “But does François?”
Each time I said François with flourish, she flinched. I didn’t care. Something about him bugged me—I just couldn’t put my finger on it.
“We didn’t kiss because you interrupted us,” she pointed out.
“So? If I were in his position, and we both wanted that kiss, I wouldn’t let anyone stop me.”
Frank and I are clicking,” she said, scowling. “There was even mention of spending time at his summerhouse.”
“Hamptons?”
She coughed into her fist. “Boca Raton.”
The idea of Georgina spending a summer with him in Boca Raton was tragic enough that I almost smiled. I got the sense she was playing up the date. If it was so great, why wasn’t she sitting here with him? And why was I more relieved than smug about that? “Meanwhile, Justin and I will be clamming in Montauk.”
“You two should really just make it official and announce your love to the world.”
“But then I wouldn’t get to flirt with pretty girls.”
“For someone who pretends to have as much game as you,” she said, “I still haven’t seen you successfully flirt with any girls since I’ve known you.”
I smirked. “How do you know I’m not flirting with you right now?”

Wildflower Park: Build Me Up Buttercup

Anna thought she’d found The One… until he broke off their engagement exactly one year before their wedding day. Now faced with a different type of countdown, Anna moves into her own place on the edge of the gorgeous Wildflower Park, hoping that a bit of greenery and a fresh start will do her the world of good.

With a little help from her good friend Sophie, a no-nonsense rescue cat and an attractive new work colleague, Anna is doing well moving on with her life… until her ex fiancé is hired into her team at work. But that proves to be the least of her worries, because she’s been swept off her feet by someone she really shouldn't be falling for…

As much as she needs a new beginning, can Anna overcome her the difficulties in her past that prevent her from moving forward?

Extract

Are you sure about Majestic Mayonnaise?’ asked Sophie, brandishing the tester pot.

‘Well, obviously.’ Anna playfully waved her loaded paint roller at Sophie.

‘Hey, I’m pregnant!’

‘Barely.’

‘Ten weeks actually, which means it’s the size of a large green olive.’

‘Which apparently means you can only supervise the decorating, rather than provide any actual help,’ said Anna, smudging paint across her cheek as she attended to an itch.

‘I’m sorting this out.’ She pointed at the box in front of her, the words ‘Random Crap’ emblazoned on the side in Anna’s handwriting. ‘I’d love to help with decorating but this is about you starting a new chapter without Liam and I don’t want to intrude.’

‘Two years I wasted on him. What is it with me always picking the same sort of commitment-phobe? Liam makes it four in a row. Four!’ said Anna emphasising her point by holding up four fingers. She was beginning to think she was either a serial monogamist or she was destined never to find the one. She unceremoniously dropped the roller into the paint tray.

‘You’re not entirely over the anger phase yet then?’ said Sophie, blowing out her cheeks.

Anna’s flash of fury waned. ‘That’s two years of my life I’m not getting back. What sort of person dumps someone four months after proposing?’

‘A prize plughole?’ offered Sophie, who only ever used what she felt were child-friendly swear words and frequently resorted to making up her own versions. ‘You need to think about you now. Not him.’

REVIEW: The Contract by Melanie Moreland

A tyrant by day, a playboy by night. That is the reputation that precedes Richard VanRyan. He lives life the way he wants, no concern for the opinion of others. He cares for no one, is completely unrepentant, and he has no desire to change his ways.

Katharine Elliott works under Richard as his PA. She despises him and his questionable ethics, but endures all the garbage he sends her way, because she needs the job. Her end goal is far more important than the daily abuse and demands she tolerates from her nasty tyrant of a boss.

Until the day, he asks her for something she never expected. A new role with a personal contract — fiancée instead of PA.

What happens when two people who loathe each other, have to live together and act as though they are madly in love?

Sparks.

That’s what happens.

Can the power of love really change a person?

Will they survive the contract?

What do you do when the one person you hate the most becomes the one person you can’t live without?

Caroline's Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I wish I hadn't waited so long to read this book as I absolutely loved it!

"She's f*cking perfection. I couldn't stand her."

Richard VanRyan is a tyrant. He's emotionally dead or, at the very least, emotionally stunted. A man known for his blunt, almost cruel, tongue, and his ambitious, ruthless streak. His reputation preceded him. When he finds himself stuck between a rock and a hard place, an almost unpalatable solution is suggested to him. However, he is desperate enough to consider it because it's a pretty genius answer to his dilemma.

"I hated being a PA. I especially hated being a PA for Mr VanRyan. I had never known anyone so cruel."

Katharine Elliott despises her job but she goes about it with dignity and no small amount of stoicism. She's in desperate need of the money and can't afford to be without it. When her hateful boss presents her with a new role, the lure of what the money would mean to her pushes her to accept it - against her better judgement.

"You aren't despicable. I think you're lost. You haven't let yourself feel."

As they work together to build a convincing facade to present to the world, their dynamics start to change little by little. Katharine's kind ways slowly break Richard's demeanour down, and for the first time in years, he begins to experience feelings that are alien to him, and he doesn't quite know what to make of them.

"I used every bit of frustration she made me feel to punish her into silence. Except it didn't feel like punishment. It felt like pleasure. Hot, pulsating pleasure."

God, this book really sucked me in! I love an enemies-to-lovers story - throw in a fake relationship, and I'm in heaven! The one thing I wasn't prepared for though was how emotional it was, which had me reaching for the tissues.

Richard was SUCH a nasty jerk! He lacked empathy and manners. He and Katharine couldn't have been more opposite in character. She was kind, giving and thoughtful. The way he treated her was truly terrible. However, when she showed him that she had bite to her character, I really loved that he liked that about her and was actually quite charmed by her. The change in their dynamic was fascinating to follow. Richard was a really hard nut to crack and Katharine somehow managed to chip through his shell to the man beneath. We caught glimpses of a more genuine and flirtatious man beneath the surface. Richard's journey throughout the story was amazing to witness and I absolutely loved how the story concluded.

Humorous, tension-filled, and emotional. Thoroughly recommend!

A simple notification turns my world upside down...
The tabloids are reporting,
I’ve taken the crown and run.
Not entirely true.
As you might have guessed,
I’m not an ordinary girl and I don’t lead an ordinary life,
But that doesn’t mean I always follow the rules.
This time, though,
I feel compelled to obey.
Which means I have to find a king,
To sit alongside my throne,
Or lose it all.
With only the clothes on my back,
I head to the land of majestic playboys,
Where a royal rebel strides right into my life.
With his sultry eyes and sinful lips,
He turns my world right-side up.
The press is calling him washed up.
I think he’s anything but.
Gorgeous, sexy, irresistible,
And utterly charming,
He’s exactly what I’m looking for.
Everything is almost too perfect,
Too easy.
Until I discover,
This hot-blooded royal has a reason for being here.

RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: Late Night Kisses by Whitney G

Late Night Kisses, an all new Holiday romance by New York Times Bestselling author Whitney G. is available now!

The Official Recipe for Nathan Benson:
2 cups cockiness
1 mouth that's far sexier when it's shut
1 huge ego that can't fit in the damn mixer
1 BIG, HARD co—Well, you get the picture…

As a professional baker, I can tell exactly what a man is made of the moment he walks through my shop’s frosted glass doors.

So, the moment Nathan Benson showed up over half an hour late to our blind date (with no explanation), caught the gaze of every woman in the diner with his panty-wetting smile, and said, "I personally don't think we should waste any more of our time sitting here talking," after only five minutes of conversation, I knew he was one of the rudest concoctions ever created.

I also knew there was no way in hell I was going to see him again.
Or, so I thought.

Days after I abandoned him on our first date, he tracked me down with one hell of a way to get me to agree to a second one. (And a third, and a fourth.)

I swear if it weren't for the fact that I was being blackmailed by the sexiest man I've ever met, I would've reported him to the authorities a long time ago.

Then again, holding out for a few late night kisses (and maybe a bit more) from his mouth of perfection may not be a complete recipe for disaster after all...

Caroline's Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Another hot, fun quickie read from this author.

"The only productive thing that came out of tonight was my purchase of extended life batteries for my vibrator."

Christina is soooooo over dating. After another dud round of speed-dating, her sister signs her up to a blind-dating agency, who finds her a perfectly matched partner. However, on their first date, he shows up forty-five minutes late and then propositions her on the spot. Another dud one to strike of the list.

"You shouldn't have to blackmail someone to get them to go out with you."

Nathan had a very good excuse for being late. Although, no real excuse for what came out of his mouth when he meets Christina - apart from the fact that he's fiercely attracted to her and can't stop thinking about her, even though she stands him up at their next date. However, he has a plan...

"I can't see myself ever letting you go."

I must say that I do love these quickies from this author - they always have a fun premise - but I always wish they were longer! LOL. I would have loved to have gotten to know the characters better - Nathan seemed to have two sides - the serious, no-nonsense cop and then this whole other dirty-talking, alpha side. Christina is a strong, independent woman with a good head on her shoulders and knows her worth. The two together were hot and sexy. And, I totally loved the amusing chapter headings! LOL

REVIEW: Cards of Love: Wheel of Fortune by Ella Fox

41887547

Jackson Howell was tall, dark, handsome- and the single most annoying person I'd ever met. Our fathers were best friends, but that didn't mean a thing to us. It seemed like he lived to prank me, and I always responded with anger.

On the first day of preschool, he'd dumped a pail of sand down the back of my favorite yellow dress. In tenth grade, he started a rumor that I had a virginity pact with Jesus. It took almost the whole year for someone to tell me why no guys ever looked at me. It wasn't that I wanted to date anyone, but it would've been nice not to be avoided like the plague.

When I moved back to our hometown after college, I was ready to turn over a new leaf where Jackson was concerned. It was time to deal with the feelings I had for him. He wasn't hard to find. Within hours of my return he was serenading me with Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up at the Olive Garden.

Later that night I turned over the Wheel of Fortune card... and Madam Aria explained that Jackson Howell was my destiny.

Caroline's Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐

This story was a sweet novella with a shot of heat.

"Even though he drove me nuts with his antics, I always chose to do whatever kept him in my orbit."

Chloe and Jackson have been enemies since childhood. Or, have they? Growing up, Chloe has had a completely skewed view of Jackson. Unfortunately, Jackson has never been able to put a foot right with Chloe.

"A devoted exclusively desires one specific soul throughout eternity because that soul belongs to their perfect counterpart."

When a fortune teller imparts information to them individually through the years, both have to have faith their destiny will be reached.

"You've always had my heart."

It was great reading about Chloe and Jackson's relationship from each POV. The difference in their perceptions of how things really were between them. As adults, their connection was undeniable and their chemistry was hot and sweet. Chloe was a tough nut to crack until she became an adult. Jackson was solid, patient and determined that things would come right between them. Really enjoyable little story.

Exclusive Excerpt:

“I believe I kissed you thoroughly.”
“You did. I should’ve raised the ante.” She chuckled as she reached down and picked the bag up from where it’d fallen onto the chair.
She handed it over to me with a smirk. Her lips pursing like she was trying not to laugh.
I kept my eyes on her as I opened it and then I looked in, “lube? You got me lube?”
She burst out laughing. Her eyes actually watered. “You were complaining about how your dick was getting friction burn from your hand, so…”
“So…you got me lube?”
She took the bottle from my hand and inspected it before she said in a soft and sultry tone, “it’s not just any lube. It lasts longer, making a little go a looooong way. Oh, and apparently it tingles all the right places.”
“You got me tingly, long-lasting lube. Just what every guy wants for his birthday.”
“I got you something else too.” She reached into her bag and took out a small cardboard box with a little blue bow stuck on top.
“Oh wow, is this a cock ring to go with the lube?” I asked teasingly as I took the box from her. “You shouldn’t have.”
“Shut up and open it, Becca was right, you’re testy.”
“Stop calling her Becca, she’s not your friend. She’s my assistant.”
“Just open the damn box before I really do take that one back.” She poked my shoulder.
After the lube, what else could she possibly get to top it?
