This was a wonderful, sweet read!

Gwen Elsmere and Sebastian Kirkwood haven't seen one another in ten years. They were once high school biology buddies. There was mutual attraction but nothing ever came of their friendship. Now, he's back in Green Valley and they can't stop thinking about each other. However, things are not so simple.

Gwen and Sebastian had my heart! The longing between them made me yearn. I adored awkward, quirky Gwen. I swooned over gorgeous Sebastian who was crazy over Gwen. This was a perfect story about two perfectly-matched people. Loved it!

“Did I hear what I think I did?” 

At Sebastian’s question, I turn to spy the paramedic wearing an alarmingly delighted grin. 

“You publish makeup videos? Online?”

I’ve never been particularly secretive about my hobby. But I also don’t advertise. Ever since my grandmother showed me the basics, I’ve been fascinated by makeup and all the beautiful things it can do to an ordinary face like mine.

“You heard right.” I narrow my eyes, daring him to mock me. “But it’s just for fun. I turn the comments off, so I don’t get any trolls harassing me.”

Please don’t be a living, breathing troll, I silently beg. 

High school Sebastian would never have made fun of me. Not in any hurtful way at least. But the man could have changed.

It’s disconcerting to realize I don’t truly know Sebastian Kirkwood anymore. We’re not friends. Haven’t been in years.

Which is entirely my fault.

A box full of frogs shares the blame, but let’s not get into that right now.

“And it’s how-to kinda stuff?” he asks. 

As far as I can tell, there’s no mockery in his voice.

“Yes—”

“It’s more than that.” Mrs. Keen talks over me, wiggling to sit higher in her bed. “Sometimes, she does these wild, lovely designs. Why, I remember one time, Gwen colored clouds on her cheeks and rainbows across her eyelids. I’ve never seen something so clever in my life!”

“Let me introduce you to my biggest fan.” I give Sebastian a sheepish smile as I gesture to Agnes.

“Can I watch them?” he asks.

For a moment, all possible answers escape me. Why would he want to sit for a half hour, watching me apply cosmetics to my face? Maybe he’s just curious? And he probably doesn’t realize how long the videos are.

“Okay. Sure. I mean, anyone can.”

The paramedic is already pulling out his phone, swiping across the screen, and finally handing it to me. “Can you pull it up? I’ll bookmark it and watch later.”

With him standing close to my side, watching over my shoulder as I navigate to my video channel, I try to remember if I styled the back of my hair after my shower. The short strands sometimes stick up in a weird cowlick if I don’t tame them into submission before leaving the house.

When I reach the website, I hesitate for a moment, deciding which video to bring up for him. Then, inspiration strikes, and I bite down on my lower lip to keep from chuckling. A couple of months ago, I did a bubblegum-inspired look. All shades of pink.

Perfect.

The second after I click the link, an incoming call notification blurs half the screen. The name of the caller douses my happy buzz in dirty mop water, and I get the sudden urge to find the closest hiding space.

“Here.” I pass his phone back, doing my best to form a smile. “Elaine’s calling. Shouldn’t let your fiancée go to voice mail.”

And I shouldn’t let myself forget there is a fiancée.

This was a fab enemies-to-lovers romance!

Juliette Mackinnon and Ryder McAdams have kept their distance from each other, despite Ryder being her brother's best friend and their families being close since before they were born. However, there's no denying the sizzling spark of chemistry between them any time they're in proximity. Ryder has purposely dug a gulf between them growing up, leaving Juliette somewhat baffled. However, one drunken night and a secret bucket list later has Ryder all up in her business, and insisting that he'll help her complete her bucket list.

"I lower my head until my mouth can ghost over hers. That's all it takes for the air to stir around us, turning electric."

This was such a gorgeous read! Ryder's attraction to Juliette was visceral and tangible. Once he let himself get close to her, there was no stopping the tide of his attraction and desire for her. I enjoyed their adventures, their sexy times, and how invested they were in each other. The angst was relatively low which I liked and not too drawn out. This was a fab, addictive read that was hot, amusing and feel-good!

This story was so much fun, with plenty of heat, too!

Fun, humorous college romance.

When Drake Colter's identical twin brother, Drew, decides he wants to find a serious girlfriend, Drake decides to lend a hand. He first meets Daisy during a class where he's pretending to be Drew - it's not a meet-cute in any sense! Drake completely got on Daisy's nerves. When they later connect on a dating app - again with him pretending to be Drew - it kicks off funny, sarcastic exchanges between them, quickly develops into a friendship of sorts, and eventually culminates in a date. And, that's where things start getting even more complicated.

Drake and Daisy were two likeable characters. Drake was supremely confident (some might even say cocky) and knew himself pretty well and his effect on other people. I liked that he saw things exactly as they were, although I think the whole deception thing with Daisy got him feeling all sorts of things. Some might say he had a god complex. Others might say he was very caring and just wanted the best for his twin - even if he was a little misguided. LOL. I loved Daisy! She was straight-talking, sarcastic and super sassy! I thoroughly enjoyed the banter between them. This was an easy, fun read.
