I. AM. DYING!! The second book in this thrilling trilogy had me completely caught up in the push-and-pull of Cristiano and Natalia all through the story, with an ending that left me totally breathless.
"Something new had entered his voice. Longing. Desperation. As if he'd been in need of something I was now offering."
This book was one of my most anticipated reads and the author didn't disappoint. She has an exasperating talent for building the tension and sizzle between the two main characters until you're absolutely gagging for the fireworks between them to explode into what you KNOW will be a stunning and fiery explosion. I'm so ready to cry for mercy from the relentless battle of wits and emotion between them. Honestly, November can't come soon enough. I'm almost beside myself!! LOL
"I'd break down that defiance until I found myself in her sweet core. She would cross over into the darkness. And I'd be waiting with open arms."
This story has mystery, brutality, deceit, secrets, sexual tension, and burgeoning tenderness. I ADORED IT!
Suffice it to say, if you haven't picked up this trilogy yet, go and grab them - or, not. As you'll probably die of frustration like me waiting for the conclusion later this year!! LOL
