New York Times bestselling author Katy Regnery returns with the second book in her Odds-Are-Good series!
Release Date: November 4

When a lonely vet(eran) and an ambitious vet(erinarian) work together to win the Qimmiq 200, sparks will fly…

Montana-born veterinary student, Juliet Sanderson, is disappointed when her project on the treatment and care of sled dogs falls through due to the illness of a local musher. In an effort to salvage her study and graduate, she answers the personal ad of Alaskan musher, Cody Garrison, who is desperately seeking a teammate for an upcoming co-ed race, The Qimmiq 200.

Cody Garrison, a retired U.S. Marine, doesn’t tell Juliet that he was left permanently disabled during his time in active service, fearing that she wouldn’t agree to race with him if she knew. But once she arrives in Alaska, discovering the truth about Cody’s past will be inevitable. Will the partnership they’ve agreed to, and the off-the-charts chemistry between them, be enough to see them through the rigors of training and secure them the win of their lives?

✮✮✮✮✮

Oh my heart! This story completely captured me. It was beautiful, sensitive, tender, and just so heartwarming. And, let's not forget sexy!

"Doesn't she know how dangerous it is for a beautiful woman to be sweet to a guy like me?"

Cody Garrison is an ex-Marine who lives a quiet life in Nome, Alaska. He's a rookie but ambitious musher and is in need of a female partner for the Qimmiq 200 race. When his classified ad is answered by a seemingly ideal woman, he almost can't believe his luck.

"I want to be the woman who lets him know that he's beautiful...that all of him...is beautiful."

Juliet Sanderson is in her final year of her veterinary degree and has won a grant to write a dissertation for a fellowship. When her plans fall through, the classified ad is almost the answer to her prayers.

"Our attraction is a living thing, connecting us through currents of energy that I can almost touch."

What a wonderfully written and moving novel! I absolutely adored it. I felt pretty emotional reading it, as Cody took up space in my heart almost from the start. I felt so much for him and his loneliness. I was in awe of him and all that he was capable of achieving in spite of his disability. What I loved most of all was his connection with Juliet. They got off to a less-than-stellar start but once Juliet realised certain things about him, she was completely on board to start over. I loved the attraction and chemistry between them but I loved the deeper understanding and desire that grew between them. They were honest and open with one another, even though they both had doubts. Their relationship was just stunning and heartmelting. Juliet brought so much into Cody's life and opened his world up again to possibilities that he thought were closed off to him forever. Can't wait to read more from this author and this series.
