He loves what he can't remember -- she can't forget the truth...

PIPER

Arrogant, controlling, and an absolute jerk.
He's everything I loathe, and everything I want to forget.
But he doesn't remember a bit of it.
One accident, one misstep, changed everything.
Changed him.
Now, he's different and unbelievable sexy.
But I refuse to fall for a bully.

DALTON

Sexy, smart, feisty, and perfect.
She's everything I want, and nothing that I remember.
What she says I am, I refuse to believe.
For her, I'll be anything.
I will do anything.
Even destroy the Bully from before.

Caroline's Review

✮✮✮✮✮

Fab bully/amnesia romance from a new-to-me author.

"She's always been pretty, even though I'd never admit that out loud to anyone, but this evening she's a knockout."

Dalton Payne is the most influential kid at school and Piper Schofield's neighbour. Unfortunately, he has also bullied Piper since they were little kids - for no good reason other than he could. He and his cohorts have made her school life utter hell and have massively affected her psychologically. She can't wait to complete her senior year and then escape town for college elsewhere. One tragic night changes their lives completely. He wakes up with amnesia and no recollection of life as a teenager, and Piper has to suddenly deal with the 'new' boy next door who is determined to make her his.

"Kissing him is wrong and magical. It's forbidden and everything I didn't know I wanted. It's cruel and perfect."

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, with a timeline that starts just before Dalton loses his memory. He wakes up with a complete personality transplant but still obsessed with the girl next door - although now, he doesn't want to make her life miserable, he wants make her happy and in his life. The way he is with her makes the reader question everything that went on before - his motivations and his desires. It clear there's definitely a fine line between hate and love.

"He looks at me like I'm the beginning and end of his day."

Piper is an unbelievably strong character, in spite of what she thinks of herself. I felt her pain, her mistrust, her doubts and her hopes. You could put up a strong argument against a relationship between her and Dalton but I guess she'd always wanted for him to really see her. Plus, no one can deny that 'new' Dalton is pretty darn sexy and devoted. There's no question that they have chemistry - it was probably there all along. I really enjoyed the author's writing style and really looking forward to the next story in this series.
