Oh my heart! I hurt for college-aged Maia and Gatsby. Gatsby's actions changed Maia's life. She held firm to her bitterness and hatred while all he did was continue to love her. Gatsby, bless him, was clueless of what his actions triggered but, at the same time, I could totally see why he thought it was all for the best. I loved the angst, the banter between Maia and Gatsby, as well as the banter between the Spearman siblings. Such a fab read! Can't wait for the next one!
