RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: The Mrs. Degree by Sara Ney

Release Date: May 3

From USA TODAY Bestselling Author Sara Ney comes a new series about strong, single girls falling in love: accidentally.

I never thought I would get pregnant in college.

When I did, I thought leaving Jack Jennings was doing him a giant favor—he had a bright future ahead of him as a football star—the last thing he needed was me and a baby standing in his way of his dreams.

Honestly? I figured he would eventually forget about me.
I would raise our child in secret and watch Jack on television, and the pain of what I’d done to him would heal.
The last person I expected to see on my brothers doorstep seven years later was Jack; obviously, or I wouldn’t have answered it.
A superstitious athlete, dreams were keeping him awake at night that were preventing him from excelling on the field—dreams he was hoping I could make…disappear.
He looked so good. So much older.
Kind. Handsome.
Turns out, he hadn’t forgotten about me either, and he hadn’t put our past behind him.

This was a fab, easy read!

"The ghost that has been haunting me for seven years has finally found me."

Seven years ago, Penelope Halbrook ghosted her college boyfriend, Jack Jennings. Imagine her shock when she opens her brother's front door and finds Jack standing on the other side? Jack has been plagued with nightmares lately - featuring Penelope. She was the love of his life....until she disappeared on him with no explanation. He tracks her down thinking to get closure from seven years ago, but what he actually does is open a whole can of worms!

"We have a new beginning, and I intend to take it. I have a family, and I want them in my life."

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I loved Jack - his sensitivity, his devotion, and his patience. Even though Penn had done him wrong all those years ago, he couldn't stay mad at her because she was still intrinsically the same sweet woman he knew back then, and his daughter, Skipper, was an adorable revelation. I loved that it was actually quite a low angst story, and how they fell comfortably into their renewed relationship. Penn was full of contrition and desperate to make things right. I loved her acceptance of Jack back into her life and his need to bond with his daughter. I was also impressed that her brother, Davis, called her out on her decisions of seven years ago. I loved that he totally supported Jack and wasn't an overbearing, protective big brother. This was such a lovely story and I enjoyed every word.
