The first time Adam Kincaid meets Alexandra AKA Ally Robbins is when he lands in hospital and she's the attending nurse. As an acclaimed photographer, Adam is often travelling the world and can get called away at a moment's notice. He has no family and no real ties to keep him at home. Until Ally. The two fall hard and fast but Ally is carrying plenty of baggage courtesy of her cold, emotionally abusive mother and step-father. Ally gives Adam a reason to stay, while Adam gives her the courage to break free of the bonds that hold her in her parents' controlling grasp. Unfortunately, circumstances and machinations break them apart and it will be a fight to get back what they lost.

The relationship between Adam and Ally was beautiful. I swooned hard over them. I loved Adam's protectiveness and his confidence in himself to be able to keep her safe and happy. He was cheeky, charming and wholly irresistible. Ally was like a butterfly struggling to escape the net that contained her. The guilt that she carried since childhood weighed her down and made her submit unhappily to her parents' demands. My heart ached for the life she had lead pre-Adam - her loneliness and isolation, the fact that she could never be herself. I loved the immense joy that Adam and Ally brought to each other's lives. They gave each other purpose, comfort, and such staggering happiness I thought my heart would burst. I adored their tender, loving exchanges, and Adam's gentle ways with her, as well as the sizzling sexual chemistry between them. This story was a gorgeous portrayal of true, soulful love against all odds. Wonderful!
