What else can a virgin do when she’s ditched at the altar? Seattle heiress Mackenzie Dupont is treating herself to a single-girl honeymoon in Mexico and a desire to relinquish her innocence to a gorgeous one-night stand. Fake names. True pleasure. But when she wakes up alone, Mackenzie realizes just how much anger is left in her broken heart.

Suffering a tragic personal loss, pro soccer player Slade Rodriguez has his reasons for vanishing without a goodbye. Right or wrong, he’s blaming the beautiful and infuriating stranger he never wants to see again. They’re both in for a shock when Mackenzie shows up as his new personal assistant. And they both have a lot to learn about each other. Because they share more than they could possibly know, including a common enemy who’s playing his own games. And he’s not afraid to get dirty.

Now there’s only one way Mackenzie and Slade can win: to trust in each other and to stop hiding from the lies they’ve told, the secrets they’ve kept, the mistakes they’ve made, and the attraction that still burns between them.

A stand-alone, contemporary romance.

Loved loved loved!

"He made me feel alive. Then killed my soul in one fell swoop."

When Mackenzie is jilted at the altar, she decides to go ahead on her honeymoon to hide herself away from the limelight. When she makes an instant connection with a gorgeous stranger on the plane, she throws caution to the wind and gives herself to him. When he disappears out of her life the next day, she never expects to find herself working for him. However, he appears to have had a personality transplant. Gone was the sexy, fun stranger, and in his place was a hostile, angry boor.

"The woman could make a man cut his own heart out for a taste of her special brand of sin."

Slade is having a break before starting a new job. He's also escaping the limelight for a while. A one-night stand that meant more than it should becomes the butt of his anger and the reason for his grief. When the woman appears in his life and his home, he seethes with hate and he wants nothing to do with her, however, his tenderer feelings have a knack for getting in the way.

"I wouldn't survive leaving her a second time without losing my mind - my soul - my heart."

Loved this story! It was easy to read with fab characters. Mackenzie is such a good person. She's sassy when she needs to be, but my heart went out to her for her loneliness and her desire to be loved and wanted for herself. Slade was irrational in his grief but I enjoyed his journey back to a good place with the banter he has with his friends, and the way that Mackenzie takes care of him.

This story was humorous, sexy and pulled on my heartstrings.
