God, I was wholly captivated by this story. Josie and Beck clicked from the moment they met and but he was bent on his revenge and hatred of all things Vos. It didnโt matter that Josie hadnโt grown up in their town with her father โ it was enough that she carried his blood. I loved Josieโs independence and stubbornness. I liked that she wasnโt dazzled by all the money in the town and that she had a plan of her own. She just needed to see out her final year of school. I loved seeing Beckโs loss of control with Josie. These two sizzled off the page! We know that heโs catching softer feelings for Josie, in spite of his hatred, and it was thrilling to watch him break down. His regret and sorrow were palpable but so was his determination to make things right. Roll on book two!!
