He plays to win; only she changed the rules....

As Manchester Athletic’s record signing, I should be basking in the adoration of fans and enjoying the perks that come with the job.

Only that’s never been my style. I keep a low profile and stay focused on doing my job.

A chance one-night stand on my way back from the States is about as anonymous as I can make it. She had no idea who I was, and I was pretty sure she gave me a fake name too. No numbers were exchanged, and we headed back to our so-called ordinary lives.

The chance of a repeat should’ve been zero. Until we meet again in Manchester. Different names this time, but the same chemistry.

Two people escaping their realities in anonymous hotels.

It’s the perfect relationship until the media reveals our true identities to the world - and each other.

Hollywood Ball is the second standalone in the Manchester Athletic series. It’s a fake identity, insta-lust, jet set romance with a super geek soccer player and a super-sassy heroine.

Start the series today! mybook.to/PenaltyKiss

Caroline's Review
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

5 delicious stars! This story was super steamy 🔥, amusing and heartfelt. I adored Ryan and Otter. They were such a lovely couple. Fun, honest, and made for each other.

"It was probably the kiss at the end that got me. Maybe this was going to be more than just a hookup."

Two English strangers meet in a bar at an airport in Houston....Neither Ryan O'Connell nor Otter Penhaligon were in the right place for a relationship, although they were most definitely in the right place for a really hot hookup, especially when neither seemed to realise who the other was. When serendipity brings them back together, both know that they're not quite willing to let go of the other yet.

This was a fab read! It was hella steamy, but that was to be expected considering they were meeting up secretly to spend time together. However, they also spent plenty of time getting to know the other without the trappings of being famous. I adored their chemistry, their connection, the way they were comfortable with each other. They were not about all the drama - they were about growing feelings, missing each other, biding their time, and working towards being together. Just gorgeous and I was totally charmed by them. I also enjoyed the banter and camaraderie that Ryan had with his teammates and really looking forward to reading the next story, and catching up with the first book in this series.
