RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: The Brood by Devney Perry

The Brood by Devney Perry is now live!

A small town, forced proximity, age gap romance from Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author, Devney Perry.

The last thing Wilder Abbott needs is a houseguest. Solitude has been his stoic companion for nearly a decade. He prefers to brood over his mistakes in seclusion. Besides, he gets enough social interaction as a high school science teacher in Calamity, Montana.

But when his oldest friend calls, begging for a favor, Wilder begrudgingly agrees. For the next two months, he'll give up his guest room to his friend's little sister.

Iris Monroe isn't the girl Wilder remembers. Gone is the shy, quiet mouse ten years his junior who always had her nose in a book. Grown-up Iris talks too much and asks too many questions, especially about his past. And her bright smile and clear blue eyes are hard to ignore.

Two months. He just has to survive two months. Except Iris is as nosy as she is beautiful. And his secrets prove hard to hide when she's living under his roof.

Caroline's Review
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This author was fabulous as always!

"She was mesmerizing. A siren luring me under her spell."

Wilder Abbott is broody and taciturn. He enjoys his solitude and likes that no one in Calamity knows anything about him before he moved there....least of all anything about his late wife. When his best friend, Danny, finally calls in a years-long favour, he's desperate to say no but he can't. When that favour turns out to be the beautiful woman he lusted over at the grocery store, he knows he's in a heap of trouble. She's Iris Monroe, the social media influencer who's only ever in one place for two months at a time. When the chemistry and tension between them explodes, Iris starts wondering if her restlessness is a clue to move on...or to stay.

"There was something about his dark gaze that made my heart race. Like he could see straight through my skin, to my bones, and the insecurities I'd worked so hard to overcome."

This was such a wonderful read. The desire and passion between Wilder and Iris was palpable and addictive. I was completely enthralled by them. I loved how Iris bought Wilder back to life, made him happy and smile, and I loved how he just accepted her for who she was without any of the judgement that she's used to encountering. It was fab to revisit Calamity and see some old faces again. Loved it!
