Lyric
A stand-alone romance novel in the Rebel series – a Redemption series spin-off
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Molly McAdams delivers the first captivating, stand-alone novel in her REDEMPTION series spin-off—the REBEL series . . .
I’m not the kind of girl you forget.
I wish I was.
I wish I was normal.
That I could blend into a crowd. Have a future with the man I’ve loved my entire life…
Maxon James understands me in a way others can’t.
For as long as I can remember, he’s vowed that one day he would claim my wild, rebel heart. God knows I wanted him to try. I wanted the life he promised me in his lyrics.
But his assurances couldn’t change the past, and the infamous mafia blood in my veins guarantees my heart can’t be claimed.
Somewhere along the way, I slipped. I let myself believe we could have it all. Now a dark, menacing shadow hovers between us, mocking us for daring to hope for a normal future.
And it’s come to collect on a blood oath.
My name’s Elizabeth Borello—Libby for short. Don’t worry about forgetting it… He hasn’t.
Julie's Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I never thought I'd be a fan of Mafia stories, but you've converted me, Molly McAdams.
I love how the families all weave in and out of each other's lives, the crossover between the gangs. The whole Redemption Series: Blackbird, firstly and Nightshade really do need to be read before reading Lyric, it sets the foundations for the Rebel Series.
The Borrello family, headed by Dare have an interesting past, and I loved finding out the history, brought to us in Libby's story, she is Dare's sister. We meet Maxon, Libby's on-off boyfriend, for the first time and you immediately feel their chemistry. We follow Maxon and Libby as they navigate being together, the push and pull of their relationship, Max finding out about Libby's family, and what it really means.
This certainly had me devouring the pages, I've been taking longer baths just so I can read this, it grips you and keeps you - all in...
I love how Einstein and Libby are together, they really are best friends. They understand each other. I can't wait to learn more about Einstein's backstory, and for her continually get to settle. It was great to catch up with Dare and Lily, seeing how they are getting on.
I've really enjoyed trying to foresee what was going to happen, I definitely saw what/who Gabe was. It's been a thrilling story watching it all unfold and I have a higher regard for Libby, she was one ballsy, fierce, independent lady, except when she was with Maxon, he brought out her inner girly girl, just loved her she was badass.
Maxon was a wonderful guy, the love he had for Libby was exceptional and nothing or no one was getting in the way of that.
We certainly get taken on a wild ride, full of ups and downs, twists and turns.

Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband, daughter, and fur babies. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach … which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies and fried pickles, and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm ... or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.
