Loved this book!
”I never knew what might set me off and it scared me. I hated it.”
Heath portrays a happy-go-lucky, laidback vibe. However, beneath the surface, he keeps his vicious temper on a very tight leash, only finding release on the ice. There’s no way that he ever wants to be like the monster he left behind in his childhood.
Kara portrays a confident, ambitious image. However, beneath the surface, she hides a bundle of insecurities and a desperation to prove herself. She toes the line and strives to be worthy of her family, and leave her past firmly behind.

When they meet, sparks fly and neither can forget the incredible night they spend together. One night turns into three and a promise of exciting possibilities between them. Unfortunately, circumstances suddenly mean that they’re off-limits to each other. Anything between them would threaten their shiny future careers.

This was a fab NA story. It was super sexy, amusing and emotional.
The chemistry between Heath and Kara was sizzling and compelling. I loved the heat and passion between them. The tension between them was so taut - full of lust and the need to do the right thing. There was just the right amount of angst and the resolution to their problems was credible. I loved how their feelings for each other impacted their outlook on life, and helped them evaluate what was truly worth fighting for.
This author is fast becoming a one-click author for me. I’ve enjoyed all her recent books and I’m so looking forward to the next book in this series.
