REVIEW: Surrender by Amy Daws

One night of complete surrender is all it takes.
Gareth Harris is Manchester United’s reclusive star defender. He has control over all aspects of his life. But a lifetime of supporting his siblings and filling in for an emotionally absent father has taken its toll.
Sloan Montgomery is a clothing stylist whose world was turned upside down when she found herself pregnant and moving to Manchester with a man who was never supposed to be her forever. Now recently divorced and struggling with shared custody of her daughter, control is a fleeting concept for this American living in England.
Both Gareth and Sloan are in need of a release.
A moment in time where they can forget about their pasts and family pressures...and just...
...surrender.
No one could predict what happens when both of their defences are down.
Surrender is part one of the Final Harris Brother Duet and concludes with Dominate. This duet reads great on it's own, but to maximize enjoyment, check out the first three brothers’ books in Challenge, Endurance, and Keeper

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ahh, Gareth! Finally!!! It's been a blast.

We really get to see a side of him that we never got to see in Cam, Tanner or Bookers stories. I thought he came over a bit aloof in those.

He is a very caring man, with a lot of responsibilities, not just as Captain of the Footy team, but at the family patriarch. All his brothers look to him for help and advice, Vi looks to him when she needs help with their brothers. I love that we get updates on all the Harris family, and seeing their families grow.

We meet Sloan, she is a clothes stylist, for celebrities, and Gareth is one of her clients and they soon become fast friends, without knowing anything too personal, but Gareth notices a change in Sloan, and they soon become closer friends.

I also loved how they both benefitted from their friendship, both got to leave their ‘real’ lives firmly at the door.

Their chemistry was fantastic and whilst they entered not a ‘np-strings’ relationship you can’t but help notice a change in their behaviour towards each other.

They were really good together, knew exactly the right things to say and do to each other. Who knew that their secrets were going to come and bite them both on the butt! And I loved how they resolved the issues.

That cliffy tho……..
I want Dominate, the next book, like NOW! – thankfully its out very quickly in succession to Surrender so you can enjoy ALL of Gareth and Sloan’s immense pleasure, pain and love without too long a wait.

Just love the Harris family.
