I really enjoyed this fiery romance.

Katherine Van Pelt and Camden Percy have a marriage arrangement - she needed his money, and he just wanted her...and an heir. However, their pasts keep them tethered in a rut of jealousy, hurt and animosity. When they decide to call a truce, things begin to evolve between them, but both have demons to deal overcome before they can be truly happy.
"His look said only one thing - mine. After tonight, I would belong to him. He'd own me. And no one was even going object. Not even me."
Goodness! Katherine and Camden are two strong-willed and stubborn people! Their relationship was fiery and ballastic. They had intense desire and passion between them yet strong mental fortitude; neither were willing to break first. Both liked to be in control. However, both also had vulnerability. Katherine wanted affirmation and love, and Camden always craved his father's approval, which drove him to be more than successful. The two of them just needed to talk and be honest with each other but neither wanted to show weakness.
The books in this series are standalones but definitely worth reading them in order, as they reference past events. I would have liked knowing exactly how their marriage came about, as we only get the gist of it really. Nonetheless, it didn't take away my enjoyment of this story, which was sexy, a little angsty, and I adored the friendships portrayed. The ending melted my heart.
