Wowzers! It’s always the quiet ones!

Jo Benson has crushed on Dex Covington since she moved to Carmel Cove. However, he’s always done his best to avoid her or brush her off, even though she sometimes sees a spark of something in his eyes when he looks at her. No matter what, she can’t help being attracted to the taciturn, growly beast of a guy. When her identity is stolen, she has no choice but to go to him for help.

Dex noticed Jo’s laugh first. It got under his skin way before the rest of her beauty did. He has a good reason to keep his distance but it doesn’t stop him obsessing over her. When her initial request for help becomes a threat to her life, she’s not staying anywhere else but with him. When she’s in his private space, he’s not too sure if it was the best or worst idea ever, as soon, she’s breaking down his resistance.

Honest to God, Dex Covington is one hella hot alpha! He’s a total beast in the sack! *fans self* I adored his possessiveness, his protectiveness and his complete possession of Jo. She gradually broke through his thick walls with her sassiness, her beauty and her vulnerability. Her confidence and sunny nature were hard to fight against but, when her life was in danger, it forced him to wake up to what he could have rather than what he thought he wasn’t allowed to have. This was a fab read with a great, suspenseful plot, and fantastic characters. Loved it!
