RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: The Player Hater by Sara Ney

Release Date: February 15

I would do anything for my best friend.

Well. Almost anything.

When she begs me to come on a weekend getaway so I can bond with her new boyfriend, I can’t say no—no matter how badly I want to. After all, who will keep an eye on the guy; he’s your stereotypical, professional football player (emphasis on PLAYER) and I don’t trust him with my friend's heart.

Worse? He has the nerve to bring his single best friend, Davis, on the trip, too. Davis is too handsome, so funny and smart he can’t possibly be human. Grandmas, babies and kittens all fall for his smile.

In fact, everyone adores but me **narrows eyes** What’s he hiding?

I refuse to fall for his act; at some point he’ll will drop the Good Guy act and show his true colors: he’s a player, too. He must be.

You know the saying: if he seems too good to be true, he probably is.

Caroline's Review

🌟🌟🌟🌟

This story was fun with goofy awkwardness, sweet uncertainty, and some adorable, feel-good moments.

"She's kind of adorable when she's prissy and pretty, and I'm guessing under the prickly exterior lies a heart of gold."

Juliet Robertson and Davis Halbrook are forced into sharing a little camper by their respective best friends (who are in love), in a bid for the four of them to bond, during a few days of 'roughing it'. As the two go from less-than-stellar first impressions to more favourable impressions, Juliet and Davis discover that they have more in common than they first thought, including a mutual attraction.

"You're wondering why we're just laying here after we both just admitted we want to kiss each other."

I loved Davis Halbrook - the guy with two last names! LOL. He was a giant softie. He was good-natured, kind, thoughtful and a total gentleman. He was so good that he even thought Juliet was adorable, even when she was crabby and unwelcoming. Juliet didn't give him a great first impression, but she was wholly unprepared for their weekend destination. However, she cared about her bestie so much that she never complained. She went away with plenty of prejudice in her heart about the guys, but I loved how Davis won her over. They had funny banter at funny times, and together were so cute, pretty sexy, and really quite sweet. A fab, easy read!
