A year ago, Frederick Brady and Cami Simpson had a moment where they thought they connected, but the night panned out differently. Now, Freddie avoids Cami like the plague. However, being the popular girl on campus who loves attention, she can't help but poke at his serious demeanour to get a rise out of him. When they find themselves rooming next door to each other in the dorms, Freddie starts to realise that Cami is not the girl she lets everyone think she is.

"My heart was like a damn hummingbird in a sugar water buffet from the way he kissed me hard, fast, and desperate."

These two melted my heart! For a big, strapping guy, Freddie was such a soft, bashful sweetheart. It was so amusing how Cami thought he was adorable AF! The two of them were mired in insecurities and full of doubts - they both had emotional baggage to deal with and I really felt for them. On the surface, they looked like perfect people with everything going for them, but beneath the surface, they were both dealing with their own vulnerabilities. I loved how Freddie made Cami feel seen and cherished. I adored how Cami brough out the wilder, alpha side of nerdy Freddie! He was hella hot! *fans self*. A fab, heartfelt read with plenty of steam and a lot of sweetness.
