Jock Rule by Sara Ney

Kip Carmichael is no pretty boy.

He's a rough. Dirty. Giant. Hair so unruly, and a beard so thick, his friends on the team call him Sasquatch.

The first time Sasquatch lays eyes on Theodora "Teddy" Johnson across the keg at a party one night on Jock Row, she'd been relegated to the sidelines by her jock hungry "friends."

Week-after-week, he watches beautiful but bashful Teddy getting overshadowed, and overlooked. Sasquatch finally broad shoulders his way through the crowd, offering to to be her hairy godmother. But the minute their eyes meet? He's a goner.

Teaching her the RULES for winning a jock will be the easy part. Not falling in love with her is going to be a losing game.

Caroline's Review

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Freaking LOVED this book! It was funny, adorable and sexy!

"He weirds me out, not because he's creepy or perverted, but because he's way too honest, and it makes me uncomfortable."

Teddy gets dragged to parties week after week by her roommate - parties where she ends up alone and awkward. When a hairy giant approaches her at one of these parties, he's rude and direct, but strangely thoughtful. When aforementioned hairy giant rescues her from a ruckus that breaks out at another party, he's rude and direct, but gives her a place to stay overnight. When he proposes to help her get over her doormat tendencies to score guys, ermmmm.....well, she's surely got to draw the line there?

"I love hearing her laugh. I love the way her feet are tucked under my legs, body stretched out next to mine, our size difference conspicuous. But nice."

Kip thinks his idea of helping the sweet but naive Teddy is genius, but the more time they spend together, the more his usual MO of keeping his life female-free looks threatened.

"Maybe I'm not as immune to women as I thought I was. Or maybe I'm just not immune to Teddy Johnson - sweet, beautiful, naive Teddy."

Just ADORED this story! I laughed my way through it. Teddy is such a sweetheart. She's feisty, smart and just a little bit daring. Kip might be blunt with her but he's also thoughtful in a gruff and matter-of-fact manner. I loved his conversations with his sister - they really cracked me up! LOL

I just loved watching Kip and Teddy's friendship develop into something more. A real winner for me!
