Great, funny romance that gets off to a comic start and develops into something heartfelt and deeper.
"I thought Kami and I had something simple and easy and good. Apparently, I was wrong. So. F*cking. Wrong."
Nick Murphy is not looking for long-term commitment. He's happy with his secret friends-with-benefits arrangement with Kami, his sister's best friend. She's sweet, great company in and out of bed, and she's so accommodating. Until, that is, he calls her for one too many favours. Suddenly, she's done with him and he's finding that he misses her more than he thought possible.
"There's something I've never seen before flickering in his eyes as he searches my face. Like - like he's seeing me."
Kami has had a monumental crush on Nick for years. Now that they are together - albeit not quite in the way she actually envisioned - she's hoping that there might be a future for them. Unfortunately, she gets a real wake-up call and finally decides to give up on him and look elsewhere for love and her dream life.

This was a fun, comedic, sexy romp with a deeper vein running through it, as we explore Nick and Kami's lives and their relationship. Nick is so oblivious to so many things in his life except his own needs and wellbeing. I loved the dawning of his realisation that Kami meant something more to him than a friend-with-benefits. I loved how important she was to his happiness and how she made everything better. Kami is such a sweetie and even though she thought she was weak where Nick was concerned, I loved how strong she stood by her determination to move on. I absolutely adored Nick's efforts to win her over. He went somewhat overboard but he was heaps of fun. And a special mention to Sugarbear! So cute! LOL
