Title: Happy-Go-Lucky
Author: L.H. Cosway
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: August 18, 2019
Every workplace has
that one person you don’t want to mess with.
At James & Peterson Investigations, that would be
Cameron Grant: sullen, grouchy, intimidating, oh yeah, and sexy as hell. He can
make your soul wither with a single disapproving glare. And he never, ever
socialises with his co-workers.
This is why Maisie Wilkins, happy-go-lucky ray of sunshine,
can’t fathom why Cameron finally decided to show up at their annual office
Christmas party. Every year he received an invite, and every year he failed to
attend. But not this year.
Curious as to why he’s there, Maisie can’t resist sitting
next to Cameron. Before she knows it, she’s had one too many drinks and is
drunkenly hailing a cab back to his place. Office party flings are not
something she normally does, but despite his intimidating character, Cameron
has a charm she can’t resist. Or maybe it was just those five gin and tonics
blurring her judgement.
Whatever the reason, Maisie now has to navigate the awkward,
tension filled waters of sharing an office with someone she’s slept with.

Caroline's Review
✮✮✮✮✮
I read the first parts of this story in the author's newsletter serialisation and couldn't wait to read the rest of Maisie and Cameron's tale.
"Cameron Grant was quite the looker. It was a pity his attitude made me break out in hives."
Maisie Wilkins is such a sunny-natured sweetheart - even though she's something of a doormat. Cameron Grant is the exact opposite and couldn't give a monkey's what people thought of him. He's content being the grumpy, intimidating curmudgeon of the office. Two unlikely people plus one too many drinks equals a night of passion. Now, they just need to deal with the aftermath in and out of the office.
"The way he'd looked at me affected every part of me. His eyes had this way of laying me bare, body and soul."
I adored this story! Maisie is such an optimistic young woman. I loved her approach to life, although her need to be liked was a little bit sad. I adored her moments of bravery and her sense of humour. I loved how she managed to coax little smiles out of Cameron, as well as his tenderness. Cameron is the epitome of brooding hotness! I adored his restrained passion for Maisie and his jealousy. I enjoyed the fact that Maisie really didn't have a clue how desirable he found her. I found their little hot moments of intense attraction thrilling, as well as the little tingling touches between them.
"When I was around him, all I wanted to do was touch, taste, breathe him in."
This was an all-round fun, sexy, and slightly caper-ish story, with some surprising twists and turns! Loved it!!
