RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: Coached in Love by A.M. Williams

Title: Coached In Love
Author: A.M. Williams

Series: Boys of Summer; Prequel

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Hot men, baseball, and ... love?

Emma Carlisle never expected to find love in her workplace, and she did. But she sure did try and avoid it and him.

Chase Anderson has a chip on his shoulder and a need to prove he's still the best since the injury that took him off the pitcher's mound.

They both fight the attraction between them, neither wanting to give in to the inevitable. Will they allow themselves to drop the pretense?

Caroline's Review
✮✮✮1/2

"He couldn't let himself become distracted. And that's exactly what she was: a distraction."

Chase Anderson lives and breathes baseball. Coach of the Somerville Spartans, he's focused on winning. He's not remotely looking for a relationship or love, since he's been burnt in the past.

Emma Carlisle has just started a new job with the baseball team. She has some great ideas to improve things, however, she never expected the surliness of the team's head coach. One drunken night puts them in a completely different ballpark - one where neither seems to know the rules of the game.

This was a quick and fairly enjoyable read. The attraction between Chase and Emma was instant but the back and forth between them was kinda exhausting. Unfortunately, both were riddled with fear and insecurities. Chase was one grumpy SOB and I was glad that Emma stood her ground and didn't put up with his nonsense. There was definitely heat and desire between them but they spent a lot of the story in doubt and aggravation, which I found almost unnecessary. I love sports romances so I will look forward to reading the next book, which will be full length, and hope to have a more rounded storyline.

Coached in Love is the prequel to A.M. Williams newest series, The Boys of Summer. It's a short introduction to the Somerville Spartans. If you like men in tight baseball pants, sizzling chemistry, and a happily every after, this is the book for you.
