SYNOPSIS

 

I promised her that I'd live my best life once I was free. 

It was that promise that led me to Voyeur--to Daniel. 

What better place to conquer my fear of intimacy than a club that allows you to watch? Who better to help me than the owner himself?

On night one, my past comes roaring back, urging me to run like I always had before. 

This time I ran into his arms. 

With my fear still clinging to my skin, he brushed it away and made his own promise. 

"I'll teach you."

 His promise turns to friendship. A friendship turns to passion.  

We didn’t know what to do with that passion— between the not-so-broken girl and the man who promised to never love again. 

Daniel and I started because of a promise, and I hoped that we wouldn’t end because of one too.

This story was brave, sexy AF, and heart-melting.

"Daniel made my chest warm, and my heart speed up and slow down at the same time."

Hanna has intimacy issues. With her traumatic history, she has managed to live her life as normally as possible and only has this final hurdle to overcome that, unfortunately, has been almost impossible to do. Daniel is an older guy who she feels oddly comfortable with. When he proposes a somewhat unorthodox plan to her, she's desperate enough but trusts him enough to take a chance.

"Her trust hammered away a little more of the distance I kept around my heart, creating a crevice to slide into."

Daniel is a man who has vowed never to love again. With his own tragic history, he's fine with his single life the way it is, but has no problem enjoying female companionship wherever he finds it - mainly at his club, Voyeur. However, there is just something about Hanna that draws him in. When he realises that he can help her in his own unique way, he's thrilled for the chance to spend time with her. Although, when the lines of friendship starts to blur beyond recognition, are they both willing to let go of their pasts to move forward together?

"You are all I see. Jesus, you're all I've seen since we met. You steal my attention whenever you walk into a room."

OMG! This story was all kinds of hot! I loved their connection, their attraction, and the trust they built between them. Both Hanna and Daniel are in denial about their pasts and how it's affecting them still in the present day. Hanna is confident and sassy except when it comes to men. Daniel seems like a playboy but he has such a big, caring heart. This story was heartbreaking, angsty and life-affirming, as well as super sexy! Adored it!
