Bad Crush by Rebecca Jenshak is now live!
Reasons not to crush on Adam:
He's my best friend's brother.
He's my neighbor.
He's the captain of the hockey team.
He's a serial monogamist who's sworn off dating.
Reasons not to fake date Adam:
See above.
He has no idea I actually like him—like really like him.
But do I listen to any of those really great reasons? Of course not.
Now, thanks to my amazing and convincing acting skills, one fake date ends with him being my fake fiancΓ© (oops!).
My bad crush has gotten me in way over my head.

This was a great romance!
”I’m quiet because you make me nervous. I get this total body lock up around you. I can’t think or talk. It’s sort of humiliating how into you I am.”
Reagan has had the most enormous crush on her friend and neighbour, Adam, since the day she moved into the apartment across from him. She keeps trying to pluck up the courage to tell him, but he always seems have a new girlfriend. When she helps him out, things start to move forward between them. However, she knows that Adam is a serial monogamist, so what makes her different from all those other girlfriends he’s had?
”I always found it ironic how timid she is in person because on stage, she’s vibrant and alive.”
Adam has always thought that Reagan was hot but also really sweet and shy, and therefore has never really gotten to know her very well. When Reagan steps in as his fake date, he is delighted by how much he enjoys her company, as he sees a side to her that he’s never seen before. When things move out of friendship territory into something more, he’s terrified of messing up. He knows that Reagan is different from the other girlfriends he’s ever had, but how can he convince her of that?
”I want you to be mine in every way. I want to do boyfriend things for you. Take you on dates, walk you home, make you oatmeal in the mornings.”
This was a sweet, sexy story. Both Reagan and Adam had their fair share of insecurities to deal with. I loved the chemistry between them. I thought the development in their relationship was natural and right, as well as rightfully filled with doubts. I loved the arc of the story and some of the scenes towards the end were pretty swoony. I loved seeing their friends and how they all supported one another. This was a fab read from one of my fave authors.
