The British Knight by Louise Bay

Release Date: December 5th

Genre: Contemporary Romance

When I’m offered the chance to leave New York to live in London for three months, I can’t pack my suitcase fast enough.
As soon as I touch down I’m obsessing over red telephone boxes, palaces and all the black cabs.
But my favorite place is the tube. It’s wall-to-wall hot British men in suits.
When I’m offered a temporary job working for a barrister, I say, sign me up.
On my first commute into work, it’s a total accident when I lose my balance and fall against the most handsome Brit alive. He’s as charming as James Bond and as suave as Mr. Darcy. I want to lick tea from his hard abs and listen to his accent all night long.
Turns out Mr. Handsome is my new boss. And his attitude isn’t as hot as his gorgeous face, broad shoulders and tight ass. He’s brooding, short-tempered and the most arrogant man I’ve ever met.
As we’re fighting, out of nowhere he kisses me. And I’m pretty sure I see fireworks over Big Ben and hear God Save the Queen.
I wasn’t looking for the fairytale but I might have found my knight in shining armor. The problem is he lives an ocean away.

Caroline's Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

OMG! I'm in love with Violet and Alexander! I think I may have a new Louise Bay favourite!

"His voice was like creme brulee - silky smooth with a hint of gravel. Yum. I'd lick the bowl if I had a dishful of him."

Violet King lives in the moment. After a disastrous love affair, she flits from job to casual job, and she's nowhere near realising her full potential. When the opportunity to take a break from her current life presents itself, she's on the next plane to London, and on her way to a new temporary job.

"Women rarely caught my attention, but she was not only beautiful. There was something exotic about her, something that made me want to know more."

Alexander Knightley lives and breathes his work. He's a total workaholic with a singular purpose: to be the best at his job. His father's legacy is a shadow of expectation that hangs over him, which is both a curse and something to be proud of. When Violet blows into his life, her beauty and vibrancy has him distracted and questioning what he really wants out of life.

"I wanted to please him. I wanted him to want me. I wanted him to fantasize about his hand up my skirt, f*cking me over his desk."

This novel was so romantic and sexy! Violet and Alexander are complete opposites in so many ways, but so alike in others. I felt such a thrill of excitement from the first moment they met. The tension between them was tangible.

"The girl was dissolving my focus, my control, my defenses."

I loved Violet's breezy, gutsy ways. She's utterly charming and has a heart of gold. Alexander's reputation precedes him as tough, taciturn, and difficult. I loved his dirty thoughts about Violet and how she affects him from their first meeting - the way she has him acting out of character. He demonstrated very clearly how much space she occupied in his mind. In turn, I enjoyed how Alexander also changes Violet and her view of the world, and makes her see herself in a new light.

This was such a FABULOUS book. I completely ADORED it!! Thoroughly, thoroughly recommend it.
