Patrick McLoughlin is the eldest brother. When his wife disappears without a backwards glance, leaving him and their infant daughter behind, he’s not sure how to move on.
He is an amazing father to his sweet baby girl, but his life only now consists of work and Maeve. Desperate for a nanny to help care for the 6 months old, Carsen is a refreshing addition to his household.
The sparks are flying and feelings can’t be stopped. Until one day, the wife shows back up. What will happen?
I enjoyed this story line, anytime I can read about a hot single dad I’m happy. LOL This book was my favorite of the series. Patrick was portrayed in the first two books as the serious brother, far too stressed out to enjoy anything or anyone but his baby girl. So, I was expecting him to be a total jerk, but as soon as I started reading this story, I saw that other side to him. The doting father. Patrick and Carsen happen so organically, it never seems forced or awkward. Such a natural connection there that fills the void in his family unit seamlessly. <3
