After enjoying some previous books by Sloane, when I saw this one was coming and read the blurb, I knew I had to get my hands on a copy. Not only for the author but because it sounded straight up my street! 

Marked is the first book in the Blackwater Academy Series, and follows seventeen-year-old Eden, who after losing someone close to her, gets sent to the Blackwater Academy. I must admit that I love this genre and these types of books, and this one was fantastically written and Sloane's words pull you into the story.

I really enjoyed this and thought it was a great beginning to the series and I cannot wait to see what is next to come!
