This was a fun, funny read.

Yessi Cordova adores dogs. It's her life's mission to save as many dogs from euthanasia, as possible, and find them new homes - to the detriment of her financial situation. When a new puppy store opens in town, she's determined to shut it down. However, going up against the hot AF Preston Evans is tough when she's constantly fighting her attraction to him.
"I'm digging this chick more and more. Every time she tells me no, it just makes the hunt that much sweeter."
Preston is a decorated former Marine whose ex-girlfriend exploited their sex life for social media stardom. Being semi-unemployable, he decides to then exploit his infamy by opening a puppy store. He knows nothing about dogs. When Yessi handcuffs herself to his new shop door, he realises that he's hit the jackpot: she knows everything there is to know about dogs, has a huge social media following, and is seriously beautiful to boot! He's determined to have her in his shop and in his bed, and makes her an offer that she can't refuse.
"I need to connect with her, I want more than just sex from her. I want passion. I want intimacy. I want acceptance. I want love."
This was a fun and funny story! Yessi is pretty hard-headed and stubborn, but she has a massive heart. I loved her fiery and passionate personality. I enjoyed how well she handled Preston, although there were times when she pushed a really hard bargain. I liked that she made him question everything - his life, his business, his direction. Preston is actually a solid guy. His notoriety had coloured his judgement but I loved that he was willing to do just about anything for Yessi. I loved that she challenged him and made him work to win her over.
Overall, a fairly quick, easy read that was amusing and sexy.
