Words like unnatural and impure started the whispers. From the very beginning, Ivy Blackwood was different. I am a huge fan of paranormal books, but I have been mainly reading romance lately, so this book came at a great time and really peaked my interest as soon as I read the synopsis.
This book was a perfect jump back to the paranormal genre for me, and I honestly could not put it down once I had started. I spent the whole book on the edge of my seat and had to make sure I kept the lights on!
This is set during Mardi Gras in New Orleans, where there is an abandoned and suspected haunted mansion. A place where you would dare your friends to enter for fun, however, no one ever makes it back out of the mansion alive. You also have the intriguing story of Ivy and the romance with Bain!
This story is full of suspense, mystery and a bit of romance thrown in! It has really pulled me back to the paranormal genre and I cannot wait to read more of the series!
