Thoroughly enjoyed this romance.

Violet Boden is a divorcee with three grown up daughters - the youngest of whom is on the cusp of leaving high school. She's been on her own for a couple of years since her divorce, but when she finally indulges in a hookup at a Halloween party, she's horrified to discover that the 'Sexy Stranger' is none other than Deacon Hunter, ex-military, bossy alpha male, who's her complete opposite. Unfortunately, she can't stop thinking about him.
"I'm feverish, hungry, starved to the bone for another taste of Violet's mouth. I'm out of my head with wanting this woman."
Deacon Hunter can't get his brother's employee out of his head. He's unbelievably hot for her. However, she wants nothing to do with him, so he tries to avoid her as best as he can but fate keeps throwing them together. When she sees a different side to him, she finally acknowledges the scorching chemistry between. She's more interested in finding something real with someone rather than just a fling, and Deacon plans to show her how serious he is about her.

This was a super sexy read. Violet and Deacon's interactions were sparky. They drove each other a little bit crazy in both good and bad ways. What I really enjoyed about them was that they were both in my age bracket. They had all the dirty stuff going on but were mature enough to deal with life and what it throws at you. Violet is a fabulous mother. She has a soft heart but didn't put up with any nonsense. Deacon was a tough guy (twenty years in the military will do that to a man) and thought he knew what was best for everyone, but Violet softened all his hard edges, and I loved how much he needed her emotionally. A thoroughly enjoyable story.
