Blurb

Eric McCurdy used to be a lot of things - professional baseball player, husband, and all-around stud. But when another man steals his wife and an injury forces him to give up his career, Eric hits a slump in all matters, until one night, his best friend asks him for a favor. The spank bank is full after that experience, but Eric wants more. He wants something like that for himself.

Alene Victor believes she doesn’t have much to offer. She recently lost her boyfriend. Her job is odd hours, and her body feels out of sorts. When a friend of a friend recommends late nights at the gym, she’s hoping for more than a typical workout. She needs physical education in all matters. Her ex said she was boring. She’s hoping her new athletic trainer can change that for her.

In a consensual relationship where two lost souls come together, they learn they are worth so much more, especially to each other.

The Athletic Trainer is a quick and steamy read of pure pleasure.
You might enjoy When the Handyman Comes first; however, this book may be read as a standalone.

Caroline's Review
🌟🌟🌟🌟

Another great little hot-to-trot novella in this series!

"He has a filthy mouth, and I love it."

Alene needs her confidence boosting after a bad relationship bashes her self-esteem, and someone she knows sends her to Eric McCurdy's gym to be 'taken care of'. Eric has been burnt in love himself and is slow to trust. However, he would definitely love what his friend, Andrew, has found with his woman. When he realises that Alene has come to him for reasons other than just fitness, he embraces it fully. Their arrangement is to meet twice a week, every week for some hot sexploration. However, when Eric bumps into Alene outside of their normal setting, it gives him a wake-up call about the exact nature of their association.

"It's so hard not to come. I want to coat that throat, mark it as mine."

I loved Alene's courage and growing confidence, as Eric pushes her boundaries. Even though this was a novella, I think I would have liked to have heard more from Eric on how he felt about Alene and how she affected him, and really what made him tick. Overall, this was a super-hot quickie read.

Author Bio

Lana Brazen is the alter ego of a bestselling contemporary romance author who believes romance doesn’t need to end just because you crossed over forty. In a fantasy life, she was an anthropologist, a journalist and a world-famous novelist on the level of F. Scott Fitzgerald. None of that has happened. Instead, she’s written over twenty romances, mothered four children and remains with the one and only. Sometimes, she likes things a little hotter, spicier, raunchier than contemporary trysts, and so begins this chapter.
