RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: The Hating Season by K.A. Linde

Release Date: April 28

Court Kensington is a thorn in my side.

I’m hired to clean up his bad-boy image, which would’ve been easy if my life wasn’t falling apart.

First, I catch my movie star husband having an affair with his co-star. Then when I return to work, my job is at stake, because Court has gotten himself into trouble...again.

Instead of getting him back in line, I find myself falling for his charm. And into his bed. And against the wall. And, and, and…

Except Kensington charm shouldn’t work on me. Not when I’ve sworn to never ever sleep with a client.

I had good intentions.

I really did.

But we all know the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

This was a really enjoyable read!

"Court didn't hesitate. His hands came up into my hair. His grip possessive and controlling. No question in that hold. Then he bent down, bringing his lips hard against mine."

Anna English is a brilliant publicist and she's been hired to turn the bad boy of the Upper East Side into NYC's golden boy. She has her work cut out for her. However, when her own life takes a downturn, in a moment of weakness, she finds herself breaking her number one rule. And, once the she's crossed that line, it's pretty hard to backtrack and pretend that there is nothing between them.

"Something sparked in my chest. I didn't f*cking know what it was. But I didn't want her to leave."

Court Kensington has a terrible public image and his mother is running for re-election as Mayor. He doesn't care what people think of him as long as he can lead his life on his own terms. Anna English has been hired to babysit him and he's straining against his leash. It doesn't make for a very harmonious working relationship. However, there is absolutely no denying the spark between them. One taste and he's determined to have more but gaining her trust will be hard work.

"She smiled up at me, and it took a lot of self-control to not just take her to the bedroom and remind her how much of mine she was."

I loved Anna and Court. They had blistering chemistry. Both were independent, hard-headed, and wore a public facade - Court more so than Anna. I admired her ballsiness, as it's made her one of the best publicists in the business, but she sometimes wore it like armour. I liked that she pulled no punches and had courage in her convictions. Court was an enigma. So much of who he truly was remained hidden from everyone. He protected his true self from exploitation. The two of them together were fiery but natural. A thoroughly enjoyable read with little clues about the couples in the next books in the series. Looking forward to reading about them!
