SO GOOD! SO, SO GOOD!!

I've been meaning to try this author for a while now and this book was the perfect first!

When Bianca Belcante first meets Tiernan Morelli, he is her mother's lover. He is cruel and outrageously arrogant. When her mother unexpectedly passes away, he's the only one she can remotely turn to. Unbeknownst to her, Tiernan has a whole other agenda going on where she is concerned.

"Her innocence contrasted to that dark, yearning curiosity was an intoxicating combination that made me feel as though I was about to lose my mind."

This was a thrilling read! Tiernan is a dark and depraved anti-hero. Bianca is a means to an end. An end that he has sought for years. For revenge. For recognition. I loved his journey in this novel from someone who wasn't even looking for redemption but finding it anyway in the form of a beautiful, young woman and her cute, lovable younger brother. I loved how they wormed their way under his skin, into his cold heart, into his soul. Bianca was an amazing girl with an old soul. She had high ideals and lofty ambitions, and her little brother was her life. Tiernan was like no one she'd ever met before, and to be fair, Bianca was like no one he'd ever met before either. I adored her gutsiness and her courage. I loved that she wouldn't be cowed by anyone. The two of them had potent, explosive chemistry that was wrong for so many reasons, but I couldn't help but want it so much for them. This story was compelling, darkly raw and sexy, and I can't wait for the concluding novel.
