I was hooked from the first few pages!

Savannah Reese likes to swim very early, every morning, at her local fitness centre. Recently, there's been someone swimming in the lane next to her. A beautiful god of a man who swims like a fish. They've caught each other's eye a few times but, the moment he winks at her, she knows that she needs to stay away from him. She's a fiercely independent woman trying to make her own way in the world. She doesn't need that type of cocky, arrogant guy in her life, who could break her heart.

Alexander Devlin is becoming increasingly obsessed with the gorgeous woman he sees every morning. Unfortunately, she keeps running away in the opposite direction. This was a such an easy, absorbing story to read. Both Alex and Savannah carried emotional baggage. Savannah stubbornly held on to hers, while Alex was more willing to let go and explore his feelings. I was delighted with this since he was a playboy and was relationship-shy. I loved that he wanted to spoil her and make her life easier and safer. They had chemistry for days and were well matched in the bedroom. I wanted to give Savannah a good shake for hanging onto her principles so hard - seriously, the guy just wanted to make her happy! However, I was relieved when she stepped up for him when he really needed her. A fun, sexy, slightly angsty read.
