Chloe Walker
Back then the boy next door was a beautiful contradiction. An avid reader, the town brawler—my dangerous crush. Until one day he up and left town like a thief in the night, leaving me devastated.

A decade later, my nightmare returned. But Will Lewin was no longer the wild, charismatic boy of my past. He was a successful restaurateur, a stranger. He was something bitter and resentful. A fully grown man…who still left me reeling.
I didn’t want his help. But I had nowhere else to turn. I had to let him back in. Even if I still hated him. Even if he could never forgive me for what I’d done.

Will Lewin
Get the job done and get the hell out of there…nothing could be simpler. Right?
But it wasn’t. I felt it in every fiber of my being—coming back was a mistake. Nothing had changed in the years since they'd driven me from my hometown. They hadn’t forgotten, and neither had I.

Ten years on, that same wrath still blistered inside me. Except now it was squarely directed at the people who had tried to destroy my life: the residents of Falcon, my high school nemesis, and most of all, Chloe…the girl who broke my heart.

Wrath is a Seven Vices novel (a series of standalones that can be read in any order). This is a steamy, full-length romance with a HEA. No cheating.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed this story!

”Will and I had been something more than friends, but not together either.”

Growing up, Chloe and Will were neighbours and total opposites. She was the do-gooder, good girl, and he was the wild, bad boy. Nonetheless, as friends, they worked. They discovered that they actually had things in common, and the chemistry between them was alive and sizzling. However, Chloe had a boyfriend, and there was no love lost between him and Will.

One tragic night, everything changed between them. Chloe‘s world fell apart and Will ran away. Chloe felt abandoned and Will felt betrayed. She never saw him again until ten years later, Will returns to town and Chloe is in for a shock.

”Sometimes, it felt like we were two magnets drawn to each other, and it took all my strength to resist his pull.”

I loved Chloe and Will’s story. The attraction between them was smouldering. The time apart never dampened the pull they had to each other. They had both been through a lot and both still carried hurts from the past. I loved reading both POVs and you realise that they saw events from the past in two different lights - and that there is a deeper mystery to be solved. They were both bitter and resentful, but all the tender feelings were lurking beneath and drawing them together.

This story was angsty and exciting, and the chemistry between the main characters was amazing! I thought the plot was solid and I loved the ending.

I enjoyed this author’s writing style so much that I’m definitely going to pick up her other books.
