Mr. Irresistible by Jodie Larson
Mr. Irresistible.
It’s in black and white beneath his yearbook photo for all to see. Tyler Cannon: All-American jock, prom king, and our very own hometown hero.
A triple threat.
He was the most popular guy in school, getting whatever—and whoever—handed to him on a silver platter.
Even though we ran in similar circles and had most of our classes together, I was invisible to him. Not once was I ever his flavor of the week.
Not that I wanted to be.
Nope, not at all.
I mean, who would want his big, strong hands caressing their body or his green eyes piercing straight into their soul?
Ten years have passed, and my childhood crush has mostly dwindled. Sure, he still crosses my mind sometimes—usually at night—but hardly a blip on my radar.
Until I find myself working as his personal assistant.
I spent years being invisible to this would-be god. I’d like to see him ignore me now.
Only, we’re constantly at war. Nothing good ever comes from wanting your boss. There’s a fine line between love and hate, and we’re dancing precariously close to the edge.

I loved this story!
"Ten years later, I'm still harboring a secret crush on him."
Maysen James is just about at rock bottom - kicked out of her ex's apartment and now sleeping on her best friend's couch. She applies for a job that she's overqualified for, but she just needs an in so she can get her ambitions back on track. When she gets the position, she's shocked to find out that her boss is none other than Tyler Cannon AKA Mr Irresistible - the guy she had a major crush on in high school. Even though they ran in the same circles, the popular jock never looked twice at the nerdy cheerleader. Now, he doesn't even recognise her, making her feel as invisible as always to him, except for the way he tests the limits of her patience with his unreasonable demands - living up to his rep of being the toughest boss in the company. When he finally finds out exactly who she is, all bets are off because Tyler is no longer the guy that Maysen thinks he is.
"All I want is for this kiss never to end. It's hot and passionate like fire and ice. Angry and intense. It's the most alive I've felt in years. Possibly ever."
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I struggled to put it down because I became invested in the story really quickly. Maysen was at first stoic, then feisty - a real ballbuster - even though when it came to Tyler, she was the same insecure teenager that she'd been in high school. He was so much more than his a-hole persona. Even though he acted way out of character when it came to Maysen, there was no denying that he was thoughtful and caring and demonstrated in so many ways how he felt about her. Their chemistry was hot, hot, hot! The only aspect that irritated me was Maysen's determination to see Tyler as he was back in high school, rather than the man he'd become and clearly changed for her. However, I loved how her friends pulled her up on her behaviour. This was such a fab read and I plan to read more by this author.
