“HARD TO LOVE.”
Hard head. Bad attitude. Terrible boyfriend. That’s what my exes have said about me—but I wasn’t serious about any of them, so what do I care what rumors they spread? What I need is to be left alone; by the press, by the paparazzi, and by women.
Too bad I’m about to be surrounded by them for the weekend. My obnoxious, matchmaking brother is getting married, and he’s doing his damndest find me a wedding date…
“HARD TO FIND.”
That’s what they say about good men—they’re hard to find. Not that when I find one, I’ll be the type he’s looking for; too nice, too ordinary, too boring.
My cousin is getting married, and her fiancé insists on throwing me at his brother. Cold, uncaring professional football player Tripp Wallace would never look twice at a woman like me. Too bad for both of us, I was wrong…
OMG! This book was hilarious - totally laugh-out-loud funny!
"The most unassuming wallflower can have a drawer full of sex toys."
Chandler Westbrooke is a good girl who likes to blend into the background. She's content with getting on with her life and trying to forge a future without being beholden to her wealthy family. She doesn't do drama and is perfectly fine with living out of the limelight. When she's thrown into Tripp Wallace's company, he makes it clear that he finds her boring and has no interest in her. However, one surprising incident, where he ends up on his butt, has him looking at her completely differently and realising there's a lot more to Chandler that meets the eye.
"Not now that I know what that smart mouth feels like against mine...hot and wet and hot. More intoxicating than the wine in my glass."
Tripp doesn't particularly care what people think of him. Unfortunately, when he's in danger of being a complete laughing stock, he takes action to turn the publicity around. When a couple of non-dates turns into him wanting to spend more time with Chandler, he's unprepared for how she makes him feel.
This was SUCH a funny book! I had moments where I just couldn't help laughing out loud. Chandler and Tripp were opposites but I loved how they affected each other. Chandler is a sweetheart but is more than able to look after herself. Tripp is something of a rude jerk but even he has his cute moments. I loved his relationship with his brother. His teenage neighbour/dog-sitter, Molly, was a hoot. I absolutely hope she gets her own book at some point! So much good stuff in this story. Thoroughly recommend!
