BOOK BLURB

From bestselling author, Dr. Rebecca Sharp, comes an emotional, second chance standalone romance in the Carmel Cove series.

It took only a matter of moments to turn Cambria Mariano into a survivor.

Moving back home, a ghost of her former self, Cammie hoped family and a familiar routine would help her find a new normal.

But months and miles couldn’t erase the trauma that had befallen her.

Something needed to change. Cammie knows she needs to fight for a stronger version of herself before she loses everything. Unfortunately, the only way to hone that fight has a name: Bennett Covington, her new martial arts instructor and the golden boy whose heart she broke.

Benny has always had his eye on the shy baker’s daughter. Though the spark between them burns hotter than ever, he sees Cammie’s heart is even more guarded. But Benny is a patient man; He’ll give her time to trust herself—and him.

As Cammie’s confidence returns, so do the demons from her past. To stop the crimes in town, she’ll have to speak up against those who will do anything to keep her silent.
And when she does, she’ll risk not only her new life but her second chance at love.

Caroline's Review

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Beautiful, heartrending read. Adored Benny!

"Wanting him was something both impossible to deny and impossible to desire."

Cambria Mariano suffered a horrific trauma that she's still not really come to terms with. Living back at Carmel Cove with her mother is familiar and safe. However, it also means that she ends up back in Bennett Covington's orbit, and he wants her to make good on their promise at a second chance together. No matter how she might want that with the boy she's never forgotten, she's not the same girl who left the town a few years earlier.

"It might take years, but Cambria Mariano would learn I'd always been the boy who knew exactly what I wanted. And that included her. My forever girl."

Bennett Covington came back to Carmel Cove to establish a business and, with hope in his heart, to rekindle those little flames of a promise of a life together with the beautiful, sweet girl who let him go. Unfortunately, he's got his work cut out for him as she doesn't seem to want to try at a second chance with him. Nonetheless, he's not a quitter and when she seems to be more interested than she says she is, he's determined to fight for his forever girl.

"Trust me when I tell you that I want you. Every last piece. Sharp or broken. Every last inch. I want it all. I've waited for it all."

Gaaah! Bennett Covington is a hella dreamy guy! I loved his patience, his abiding heart, his intentions and his filthy mouth. He was so sweet yet so alpha. He made me swoon hard! Cammie was a survivor. She was so much stronger than she gave herself credit for. I loved her determination to overcome her fears and, towards the end, she was pretty damn badass!! I loved her courage and her absolute trust in Benny. These two were meant to be together. Two such beautiful souls thoroughly deserved each other. Fabulous read!
