This was such a bloody good read!!

”I couldn’t breathe for the way he looked at me then. Like I was the only person he’d ever seen in his life. Like I was the only thing that had ever stirred his interest.”

Scholarship student, Tanith Bradford, has crushed on aloof blueblood, Owen Montgomery, for three years. The night he finally notices her, he ends up crushing her self-esteem. She disappears for a semester and, when she returns, it appears that Owen is unwilling to let her be and is determined to have her.

”She must be mine. Had to be. There was no way beyond scratching this itch but to have her with me, near me, against me, for as long as it took.”

Owen can’t believe that he never noticed Tanith before the night in Ibiza because now that he’s seen her and kissed her, he cannot get her out of his head. She’s in his blood. Unfortunately, he has to wait a whole semester before she returns to school and, now that she’s back, there’s no way he’s letting her run away from him again. However, sometimes, love just isn’t that easy.

”I deserve the kind of guy who wants me because I’m awesome, who sees every one of my faults and loves me because of them, not in spite of them.”

I just loved Tanith and Owen’s story. There’s very much a Pride & Prejudice vibe going on with their social dichotomy. Tanith is brainy, beautiful but poor. She’s determined to make it on her own without any help from anyone. She wants to be recognised and appreciated for her own efforts and worth. Owen works hard even though he comes from wealth and prestige. His name opens doors but is also heavy with expectations. He is on fire for Tanith. Their passion is scorching and addictive, but Tanith doesn’t want to be his secret. She wants to love him out in the open but her future is at stake. The connection between them was compelling. Owen’s near obsession with her and the way she breaks down his icy self-control is, I’ve got to admit, swoony. I adored the ending and the promise of so many more tomorrows for them!
