RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: Broken Hearts by Rebecca Jenshak
Broken Hearts by Rebecca Jenshak is now live!
She's a figure skater. He's a hockey player. Things are about to heat up on the ice.
Rhett Rauthruss is single for the first time in six years. He's fresh off a long-term, long-distance relationship and ready to make the most of what's left of college.
Party with his boys, get to the Frozen Four with his team, and maybe play the field for a change.
Sienna Hale knows a thing or two about heartbreak. She's a college athlete about to skate for the last time, and nothing is going to throw her off course. Not her worries about finding a job after college, not the whispers of last year's accident on the ice, and not the cute hockey player who keeps asking her out.
They think they want different things, but when it heats up between them, there's no denying they have something in common--even if it's just for a night.
Caroline's Review 🌟🌟🌟🌟
This story was sweet, sexy and a little bit heartbreaking.
”Angel, around you, I don’t have to play. You make me stupid. I can’t get anything right.”
Rhett Rauthruss is a month into singledom. He’s trying to move on but his ex keeps calling. When he’s not falling asleep during a hook-up, he’s taking a girl down on the ice! This girl, however, is one girl he’d like to get to know better. Initially, she has the wrong idea about him, so she keeps putting him off, but soon realises that he really is a nice guy – not just nice, but super-hot, too!
”We’re smiling at one another, and there’s this electricity in the air between us.”
Sienna Hale is a figure-skater who wants to enjoy her last few months of skating before graduating. After their initial inauspicious meeting and Sienna’s misconception about Rhett’s character, they form a tentative friendship that’s sizzling with chemistry. When he learns the truth about her, she’s happy that he seems to want to forge ahead and move their friendship towards a more intimate level. However, when life throws them a curveball, are both strong enough of heart to work through their issues towards a HEA?
”She’s it for me. She’s my endgame.”
Gotta say, Rhett and Sienna are simply a cute, adorable couple. They absolutely belonged together. They had a lot in common and I loved how well they just gelled together. I loved how they supported one another and the fact that they, as a couple, were fairly low drama and didn’t play games with each other. Sienna had kept a lot of people at arm’s length but I loved how she was welcomed into Rhett’s circle of close friends. Rhett is just an all-around, good guy. I loved his solidity, his persistence and the fact that he knew his own mind. He lost his way a bit as he struggled through the events in the story but he got himself back on track at the end. This was a really enjoyable read and I’m so looking forward to Maverick’s story next!
