NEW RELEASE & REVIEW: Smiling Irish by Katy Regnery

Tierney Haven and Burr O’Leary come from completely different worlds…

…but there’s a reason they say “opposites attract.”

Bookish Tierney Haven has always preferred places to people, and she especially loves the peace and quiet of Moonstone Manor, an estate museum located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where she is head docent, chief historian and live-in caretaker. The very last thing she expects to find on the doorstep at midnight is bruised and bloodied stranger, Burr O’Leary, in desperate need of her help.

Against her better judgement and at the risk of her brothers’ wrath, Tierney offers Burr sanctuary at Moonstone Manor, and nurses him back to health, surprised to discover that the dashing, enigmatic stranger loves the history and peace of Moonstone as much as she. But Burr has a dark history, and those who hurt him will stop at nothing to eliminate him...placing Tierney in grave danger until he is well enough to find them first.

Caroline's Review

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

5 smiling stars!!

I've been so excited for Tierney and Burr's story and I was not disappointed!

"Burr had swept into her life like a summer storm - growling and jagged, wild and dangerous, blinding in its intensity and darkly beautiful."

When an injured, frightening hulk of a man barges into Tierney's life in the middle of the night, it's the most exhilarating thing that's happened to her in years. However, she instinctively figures out that in spite of his appearance and manner, he's one of the good guys. There's a bright spark of attraction between them, as well as a quickly forged connection.

"What he felt for her was surprisingly intense. She was everything he would have wanted if his life had taken a different path."

Within a handful of hours, Burr knows that Tierney is one extraordinary woman. She's sweet, kind, a little bit sassy, and courageous. He's not only physically attracted to her, but also yearns for her emotionally. However, his life and his current situation put her at great risk.

"Tierney Haven was bringing him back to a place of hope after a long sojourn with the damned."

I absolutely adored this story! It was very much about Tierney and Burr's burgeoning relationship and love, so it was sweet, sexy and tender, rather than about the really gritty side of Burr's life. They were very opposite, and I loved how Tierney's innocent, peaceful life seemed like a haven to Burr after all he'd been through.

"She felt it everywhere - that breathtaking, heart-squeezing, full-body feeling that he was the missing puzzle piece of her."

I loved Tierney's bravery in dealing with Burr when he first comes into her life, as well as her courage to go for what she wants. I loved her abiding nature, her unfailing hope that Burr will come back into her life. She was such a good person and had a pretty positive outlook on life, in spite of her anxieties and her retiring nature.

"You are my aisling. The sweetest dream. Everything I could ever want."

Gah! These two just absolutely melted my heart!
