RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: The Guardian by Kimberly Kincaid

 Release Date: March 9

Guard against any danger. Especially if it comes from within.

Detective Matteo Garza doesn't just do the job--he is the job.

He's learned the hard way that work and pleasure can't co-exist.

So when his little sister's best friend accidentally uncovers a money laundering scheme led by one of Remington's most cold-blooded criminals, Garza vows to keep things strictly business as he keeps her safe.

No matter how much the quirky mathematician makes him feel things best left buried.

No matter how much she makes him want.

Delia Sutton knows she's not like most people,
just like she knows she needs to forget her ages-old crush on Matteo and focus on survival.

But the closer they get, the bolder she becomes--
the more she breaks down his carefully crafted barriers to discover the man beneath.

Danger is closer than either of them could possibly imagine and no one can be trusted.
Delia needs a guardian to fight by her side, and Matteo will do anything to protect her.

No matter who the enemy is.

Caroline's Review
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book was SUCH a fantastic read! A new-to-me author that I will definitely be reading again.

”He dropped his gaze to her mouth before returning to her eyes, and oh, God, Delia felt him everywhere.”

Delia Sutton is a genius mathematician who is mostly known as quirky or weird. Numbers are her jam. When she stumbles across some discrepancies in the accounting system at work, it leads her to Matteo Garza, her BFF’s gorgeous, older brother for whom she’s been nursing a crush for many years.

”He knew there were a hundred different reasons why he shouldn’t kiss her. He did it anyway.”

Matteo is married to his job. He shies away from relationships after one fell apart because he couldn’t commit to it in the same way that he’s committed to his work. It’s been four years since he’s seen Delia and there’s no denying that she’s no longer the awkward, gawky young woman of his memory. Instead, she’s a blond bombshell who pulls a whole bunch of surprising feelings from him. Not only is she beautiful, but her openness, honesty and unique personality has him on his knees. When her life is threatened, he refuses to let anyone but himself protect her.

”That’s the whole point, I don’t want you to go, and that never happens. When I say I’m right here with you, I mean it.”

This was an absolutely thrilling read! I adored the scorching chemistry between Delia and Matteo. He had a pretty dirty mouth on him but he totally delivered on his promises! Delia was adorable. She was charming in her earnestness, funny in her filter-free observations, and sexy in her certainty of being with Matteo. I felt hugely invested in their budding relationship. The plot was well-thought-out, fast-paced and suspenseful. The author did a fabulous job in delivering a story that was interesting, as well as romantic and hot. Thoroughly recommend!
